Correct. I've been getting the train to manc from horwich pretty much every day for about 8 months now. This week I've driven in for a change. I set off early, half 6, in work for 7.10, emails sent, brew from the canteen and ready to go for the day by the time the train would be pulling in to Victoria.

 

Coming home I'm back at the same time but I have the flexibility to leave when I'm done not at a fixed time for the train.

 

Can't help but think for the sake of £25 a month difference why have I not driven every day? Is the East lancs traffic OK at the moment?

If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this...

The sixth now paid £2 instead of £3 (33% saving).

The seventh now paid £5 instead of £7 (28% saving).
The eighth now paid £9 instead of £12 (25% saving).

The tenth now paid £49 instead of £59 (16% saving).
