So talking theoretically that we don't sign any of the loanee's and no one renews their contract, our squad consists of...

Fitzsimons

Moxey

Ream

Dervite

Baptiste

Tierney (remember him?)

Wheater

Hayden White

Threlkeld

Maher

Spearing

Feeney

Hall

Mark Davies

Trotter

Danns

Vela

Twardzik

Medo

Walker

Kellett

Clayton

Eaves

Wilkinson

Odelusi

Clough

So who do you add to that on a limited budget? It's obvious we need an experienced striker but do we look down the leagues and take a punt or resign ALF or Craig Davies?

I also think we need an enforcer. Looking at the midfield there's no one over 6ft. Someone in the same vein as Wanyama was for Lenny just to bully someone around, that Reading game the other week was prime example - someone to dish it out a bit.

Sign 2 of the 3 goalkeepers, preferably Lonners and Amos for me

Then a CB and a right back. Again, down the leagues? I'd like to see Ream at CB next to someone like McCarthy so thatd leave us needing a LB aswell as Lennon obviously doesn't famcy Moxey there too often.

Whatever happens, Lennons got a massive job in terms of recruitment looking at that list. Top half and I'll be very impressed I think

I dont think half of the above will be there when we kick a ball in August.

Eidur will be kept on, low wages, does a job and wants to play..

Reckon that's a given...

Hopefully have Vela, Clough, Clayton, Kellet and Mark Davies from those lot here next season and fit.

I'd like to see Pratley and Eidur kept on and try to get Amos.

Apart from that I would happily take money for any of them (apart from a few of the youngsters) although I think we could only really take cash for Ream, Wheater and maybe Spearing/Dervite with the others just being a case of giving them away to get rid of wages.

Then let Lennon see what he can do with a full window, hopefully get some big lads in and some defenders that can actually defend.

Has nobody noticed a lot of these poor loan players have been brought in by lennon? He needs to show he has what it takes. So far I am not convinced.

Drinking in a local legends pub doesn't mean he is a success.

There's a huge difference between loan with view to purchase and emergency cover.

Not convinced with the duffer from celtic n the bulgarian but alf n bannan have been ok

Jurys still out with lennon imo, luvky he came in firing or we'd be up shit creek now

They are not all emergency loans though.

If you want a response you'll have to tell us which 'poor loan players' you're referring to.

I don't get people who are critical of the last few months whilst giving him no credit for the first few months. Surely it's more sensible to judge him over the entire period he's been here.

Coke, the united kid both distinctly average.

I genuinely don't feel any have made such an impact I am overjoyed. This may make me a #shitfan but I am struggling to see what we are doing now. I thought we would become more

Solid. This hasn't happened.

I also get it is where we are at the moment regards finances but personally I don't see how we have changed recently

Disagree Big E. I think if you look at the loan signings who are playing regularly ...

Amos

Le Fondre

Bannan

McCarthy

they all appear ok and have made positive contributions.

I also like the glimpses I've seen of Janko and Rochinha who looks like decent prospects but granted haven't played that much. (Think Janko is injured at the moment)

Slachev and Twardzik I admit I can't work out, and Coke to me was just extremely short term cover that we'll be paying buttons for. I think some of Lennon's selections are more questionable than his signings, but still very much giving him the benefit of the doubt given the apparent shambles he inherited.

I do wonder if the Rochina, Slachev and Janko loans, and now this kid from Liverpool, are more like extended trials with a view to whether or not signing them for next season.

Coke, the united kid both distinctly average.

That's only two. You said that there were a lot.

By the end of the season, Lennon will, with 2 more wins, have taken 1.3 ppg from 35 games

Approximately the same as last season and a fair bit worse than the season before

He did though get us to safety and realistically, bearing in mind the horrendous list of injuries, that was as good as it was going to get

If he'd taken til the end of April to get us out of the bottom three, wed probably be more optimistic than we are

As it is, we'll be ending the season on a downer, looking to put together an 18 man squad on an average of about 6k a week

What happened to the dream of things getting better?

Lennon will be gone after false promises by gartside, we will get john Barnes and get relegated

That's only two. You said that there were a lot.

Ok my mistake. They have set the world alight.

Football is opinions and I don't think they have been good enough. Alf maybe.

Just because they play doesn't mean they are good enough

Broadly agree. ALF is decent enough but hasnt set the world alight. Bannan is a tidy player but not what we need.

After that it looks a mismatch of players and to be fair injuries have dictated some of it.

Let's see after the summer. If Lennon signs Rochina whilst we still have Mark Davies and Clough I will be worried. We have plenty of good attacking midfield players. We need some big physical warriors adding in.

It might be case that we get Davies fit for 10 games get shut for 2-3 million and have Clough and Rochina as replacements.

Davies fit for 10 games across the whole season would be a miracle nevermind back to back.

He's a very good player but I'm not sure he's worth keeping around for his 3 excellent games a season, especially if we can get a few bob for him.

Can't believe some have forgotten the sheer despair of dragging themselves to watch Freedman's side this season. Perhaps they didn't? I was ready to throttle Freedman after that Fulham game. I think anyone comparing Freedman to Lennon need to give their heads a wobble. Let's give him pre season and next season shall we? I am aware that we said that about Deadly Doug but I have to believe Lennon/Mjalby & Parker are an improvement on the last lot. do we really think the young lads like Clough & Vela would have been in the team (and kept there under Freedman). Oh and ALF, Bannan & Amos not bad as we were desperate and skint.

Backing Lenny to prove Big E and co wrong. Just hope he is around long enough

I don't want him to fail just don't think a lot has changed. Random selections, poor performances.....seems to be similar

As casino says,it all feels a bit of an anti climax at the minute. Lets not get hysterical about a few crap performances and the manager chopping and changing like its pre season.

It will be a completely different story next season. Then it's time to judge.
