April 23, 201511 yr @OfficialBWFC: Marc Tierney has been forced to call time on his playing career aged 29 due to a persistent ankle injury. #BWFC http://t.co/LPRVgzo1vx Shame for the lad
April 23, 201511 yr The shittest thing about all this was the ref had already blown up moments earlier and him and the other player carried on
April 23, 201511 yr it was a stupid challenge he made i liked it cos he showed a willingness to get stuck in, but it was a stupid needless challenge with little to gain from winning it
April 23, 201511 yr it was a stupid challenge he made i liked it cos he showed a willingness to get stuck in, but it was a stupid needless challenge with little to gain from winning it That's what the Bolton crowd love though.
April 23, 201511 yr it was a stupid challenge he made i liked it cos he showed a willingness to get stuck in, but it was a stupid needless challenge with little to gain from winning it Aye Jules Darby alerted us to this about 6 month back
April 23, 201511 yr Marc Tierney Stuart Holden Sean Davis Fabrice Muamba ...anymore for anymore? It's either the staff or the pitch to blame, or both. Can't remember.
April 23, 201511 yr It's either the staff or the pitch to blame, or both. Can't remember. Nah, Muamba's heart stopping was Coyle's fault, remember?
April 23, 201511 yr Nah, Muamba's heart stopping was Coyle's fault, remember? If you ran a marathon without training would you collapse?
April 23, 201511 yr If you ran a marathon without training would you collapse? How did the rest of the squad survive?
April 23, 201511 yr Only 5% collapse. I was obviously being tongue in cheek. I'll perhaps use TONGUE IN CHEEK to avoid confusion in future. The fact is that they were training to some degree - and you would guess that even a player without a club would continue to do fitness work. One with a club would be doing more.
April 24, 201511 yr Best of luck to him, such shame as it was a tackle that didn't really need making. 2 new full backs pretty please Eddie/Phil/Lenny.
April 24, 201511 yr Author Is the player / club insured for this kind of thing? If we are our premiums will be fucking huge or we've become uninsurable
April 24, 201511 yr Yes in short At a fans forum after Muamba's collapse Gartside said that football clubs no longer insure players as the premiums are just not worth it and it is only the very top clubs who ensure their absolute top assets. Only a handful of players in the UK were insured by clubs apparently. Players might have their own protection but clubs don't if what he said was true.
