I need to get involved with NFL again, but need to choose a team. Was always a Dan Marino Miami Dolphins shirt wearing kid, but need some advice.

Which team is it worth following? Thinking about going down to Wembley to watch a game - anyone done it? Any help welcomed. Could just stick with the Dolphins and get tickets off Stub Hub for their game against New York Jets the day after the QPR game.

Which are the Liverpool/Man Utd of the NFL world to avoid?

Personally, I think the Rodgers influence thing is overblown. Gets a lot of negative coverage in the press but from all the media I've ever seen of the guy himself he comes across perfectly fine. Sure, he's odd, but I do feel like some of the media take every possible opportunity to disparage him purely because they dislike his politics or the lack of access he allows them to him personally.

I think it's unlikely he's had much of an impact in this decision, it's our owner getting a little too hands on and jittery, which he is unfortunately prone to doing. Admittedly though, it's not like he isn't deserving of firing, his record is abysmal and we have consistently been one of the most underprepared and undisciplined teams in the league under him.

I like Saleh as a fella and no doubt he will go on to a DC job and build another Top 5 defence, he's an incredible defensive mind, he just isn't a head coach.

When you bring in a QB who chooses his own OC, and chooses which Free Agents the club should go after, you have a undermined HC, and also a undermined GM.

The OC and Lazard were both brought in before we traded for Rodgers.

But after the initial talks between gang green & Rodgers. And it was widely reported, before either Lazard or Hackett signed, that Rodgers had requested those signings, as a condition of him signing.

Rodgers was always going to be either a massive success (See Brady at Tampa) or something that would put the franchise back a few years (See Culpepper at Dolphins).

Went on Sun.

His body language was appalling - bit like Santos can be on a very bad day.

How was the experience?

And how much were tickets?

Great experience, went last year watching my team The Ravens. Spurs stadium is class.

We decided to do it again, missed out in the offish queue (again) so got scalped on StubHub (again) for about 2 ton apiece.

Only once a year and considering I pay half what I was paying for my season ticket 20 years ago (excluding inflation), I can justify it.

If you'd said to me I'd be watching nfl or paying 2 ton for a ticket to do so five years ago, I'd have said you were barking mad.

Laughing at the Cowboys is always fun.

Bizarre moment in the Georgia v Texas game yesterday.

Refs called pass interference which took away a Texas interception. Texas fans threw rubbish onto the field and kicked off, the ref overturned their decision.

Didn't affect the result but not a good look for the officials.

Agreed but a very good result for your lot.

Good win for the Badgers but a big test coming up next week. Hope I can get to watch it somewhere. Not been much coverage of the Badgers this season thanks to reduced college football coverage.

@frank_spencer just watching the Stealers highlights b4 the proper game tonight.  Loved the Ogunjobi sack on crazy Aaron. I work with his cousin who is a really lovely woman.

For clarity that's Larry Ogunjobi not Crazy Aaron's cousin that I work with.

I confused myself thinking you meant you'd seen him this weekend but realised you meant a few weeks back

Larry O comes across as a top bloke too.

I know it's only the jets but the addition of Wilson seemed to give the offence that something extra that was missing under Fields. Another bonus is that if Wilson does get injured then Fields is a backup better than some starters across the league.

Talking of sensational, what a way to win the game with 23 seconds left.

First year in ages I’ve felt like Washington might be play-off material. I’m interested again.

This Daniels fella looks the business.

Agreed , i've tried not to comment on our rare good start for fear of jinxing it .

How long has this 40 second countdown clock been operation in the NFL?

Usually about 40 seconds.

I watched part of a game on Sunday and I noticed it. It speeds things up and makes it a tad less boring.

Since 1976

No chance. Granted I've not followed the NFL for years but I've never seen it on the screen until Sunday.

Play clock has been around since 1976 in one form or another, a bit like the shot clock in NBA.

Teams have 40 seconds to get the ball in play or they forfeit a down for 'delay of game'
