Traf Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Just catching up on the BBC NFL shows, it’s been great viewing again! Still not decided which team to adopt as my own, ideally be located somewhere that I am likely to visit on holiday now and then, which narrows it down to California or Florida really With that in mind I’m now thinking either LA Rams or San Fran. Whilst the Rams look good this season, San Fran could do well next time out now they have this Jimmy G at QB They play each other on Sunday so might just go with the winner! SF will be better next season, Rams not guaranteed to improve. Nor are they guaranteed to stay in LA long-term. Quote
MancWanderer Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 SF will do very well next year Agreed Quote
Zico Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Apparently if bills don't make playoffs they'll set a record for number of consecutive seasons without reaching them Quote
frank_spencer Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 Apparently if bills don't make playoffs they'll set a record for number of consecutive seasons without reaching themMust be their own record as the Browns have been shit since Adam was a lad. Quote
Zico Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 And to think they were a laughing stock when they got to the superbowl 4 times in a row losing them all Quote
frank_spencer Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 1999 bills 2002 BrownsBloody hell I didn't think it had been that long since the bills made play offs. The 15yrs for the Browns is bad enough. Quote
bolty58 Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 I'd been looking forward to the Orange Bowl for weeks and it didn't disappoint. Badgers were superb. The result at Bramall Lane took the edge off though. Didn't really care after that great victory. Quote
frank_spencer Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Trying to work out how I can escape family tomorrow to watch the Rose Bowl. My mate records all the bowl games and watches them over the Off season Quote
Escobarp Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Browns first win of the season tonight maybe? I’ve had a few quid on it! Quote
frank_spencer Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Browns first win of the season tonight maybe? I’ve had a few quid on it! Even the back ups should be able to beat the browns. I'm hoping for a steelers and jets double tonight to give steelers no1 slot. Darth Belichick has given himself another edge by signing the steelers defensive playbook for the rest of the season Quote
Escobarp Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Jets will get blown away tonight. Fact Landry Jones is an able replacement but no brown and no bell. Who knows what can happen Harrison a great signing by the pats you’re right and gives us an edge we don’t actually need. Doesn’t bode well for the rest Quote
frank_spencer Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 It's a shame to see Deebo leave Pittsburgh under a cloud he's been a legend for the Steelers. Had he signed for anyone else no one would've minded. Quote
Escobarp Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Let’s hope you weren’t basing your New Years celebrations on the the jets frank! Happy new year to you and yours whilst I’m at it. Quote
frank_spencer Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Let’s hope you weren’t basing your New Years celebrations on the the jets frank! Happy new year to you and yours whilst I’m at it. I'm sat down stairs watching the NFL with a Jack and Coke. the missus is upstairs watching terrible reality tv. I may go up at 5 to 12 to watch the clock change on the hootenanny depends if the Flacons Panthers game is interesting. happy new year to the family Escobarp Quote
birch-chorley Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 49ers beat the Rams 34-13 San Fran it is for me then! Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Didn't think I'd ever enjoy a Bungles touchdown. But the look on the Ravens fans as their play off hopes vanished was joyous. Congratulations to the Bills Quote

Congratulations to the Bills You could hear a pin drop in Baltimore after that TD. Ravens 44 seconds away from the play-offs. Absolutely top class TV again last night, Redzone by far the best show on telly. Quote
kent_white Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Why is everybody pretending to like American football? Quote
MickyD Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I don't even pretend to understand it, never mind like it. Bag of shite! Quote
bolty58 Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Why is it folk who don't get anything have to try to pour shit on it? If you don't like it, why even visit this thread? As Traf says, NFL Redzone is superb and compulsive viewing (for those that get it). Quote
