Accountancy bore-off

Traf I get it that people don't want to hear this sh*t, I really do, but he's proper taking the p*ss.

WTF am I supposed to do?

He'll be able to play 22 league games next season before we have to pay Liverpool £100,000.

Unless my ITK unreliable source is wrong.

He probably is

How much do you think Burton Albion are paying their squad?

Not anymore than trotter, amos and madine

Honestly I've no idea but I'd suspect more than 2k per week.

Couple of years back the average league one wage was 2K per week. Note average. Which means some players below that.

We need to basically break even now there is no rich owner. So we need to fall in line with our income. 2k per week won't be far off and won't be far off being competitive in that league either. Time to get real.

So who won the Golden Accountant competition?

So who won the Golden Accountant competition?

One of us is an accountant the other is a newbie on here who lost a few quid on BL shares so sticks a couple of numbers in his posts to add and air of credibility, then spins more than Shane Warne and Alistair Campbell's lovechild.

You decide who is who, there is no Golden Accountant competition.

FWIW I genuinely try to avoid this kind of talk, but I'm not going to have the p*ss taken out of me by some no mark from BurndenRacists/LOV or whichever rock he's crawled from under.

Every credit for continuing to destroy the numb cunts numb-cunt arguments. It's a never ending debate though, as numb cunts don't understand facts.

So who won the Golden Accountant competition?

Turns out there never even was a Golden Accountancy Competition.

Yet again it's us loyal accountancy fans who lose out! Booooooooo.

I've employed more than a few accountants over the years but its not often I have come across one who seems quite incapable of putting two and two together and coming up with the right answer. But lets not leave him confused any longer and tell him that I qualified as an accountant when Jimmy Armfield was manager of BWFC.

And some of you might have noticed that I have an annoying habit of using professional language  even though this is a football website.

It should have been a dead giveaway.

You are the only person coming here making vague references to 'what is happening'. Then when asked what is actually happening offering up only riddles.

Time to shit or get off the pot. Fill us all in with precisely what you do know in plain English or stop trying to show your superior knowledge off with nonsense vague statements.

£2.3M in 2013-14.

£2.3M in 2013-14.

Is that total wage bill, or just playing squad Malc?

Their record signing is about £65k

Their ground only holds about 6000 people, so their turnover must be next to fuck all  -  it does show what can be done with a decent bit of scouting and management

So 20 odd players at 2.3M averages under 2K a week.

Living within our means will be a shock to many I suspect.

It might be lower than that if the £2.3M is their total wage bill and includes office staff, coaches, tea lady etc

For what it's worth, I know a lad who has just recently signed for MK Dons, he's only on £650 per week (and he's actually playing, he's not a kid/reserve)

On the last set of accounts, Gillingham show only five more employees than we show players.

Same as garlic bread, self sufficiency is the future. Then we can sit back & watch other clubs crash & burn.

Only the players

Well, they are paid that

Doubt they "earn" it

Stab him in the eye with a 3H pencil.

Someone just mentioned that in league one you can't spend more than 60% of your turnover on wages. Looked it up and that is correct.

So what will our turnover be next season? Then take 60% and that will have to be our wage bill.

How are wigan managing it? They have signed about 32 players
