Just had a meeting on Churchgate. Sad to see the Bolton News offices empty. And in a week or two the Travel Counsellors building opposite will be empty. Another 200+ people spending approx £20 per week on parking and lunches in the town... plus whatever other services they spend their hard-earned on - all being lost. Very sad state of affairs.

 

When will it get better? Should these empty offices be turned into apartments?

Whilst knowing its Si, its quite lovely to imagine its RW talking to himself on nightshifts.

My block of flats is currently Air B&B central. Be delighted if Muslim families moved in and we had more permanent folk contributing to the community.

He did spend half an hour kicking off with 17 year old steward lasses & calling them slags because we were last out the car park. Thought he was going to knock one of them out at one point. But behind that was a decent lad who’s just been struggling with his anger for decades. At least he knows a Nazi when he sees one.

I was born in Daubhill and grew up in Morris Green (as was Johnny) then moved back to Daubhill, they are both shitholes these days, nothing to do with ethnicity though.
