Just had a meeting on Churchgate. Sad to see the Bolton News offices empty. And in a week or two the Travel Counsellors building opposite will be empty. Another 200+ people spending approx £20 per week on parking and lunches in the town... plus whatever other services they spend their hard-earned on - all being lost. Very sad state of affairs.

 

When will it get better? Should these empty offices be turned into apartments?

I was thinking the same, there are loads of places I wouldn't live because they are shitholes, not because a neighbour might have a different complexion to me.

Indeed. You know where my mum lives. As the old white folk die off their houses have, in the main, been bought by Muslims. Wonder if she is now classed as living in a “Muslim area”?Decent folk who have moved out of shitty areas to bring their kids up in a nicer area. Lovely people. Mother is 86, lives on her own, and they look out for her, even bringing presents back from holiday for her

Funny how the biggest shitholes in Bolton are the Asian areas as you have pointed out. Nobody drives through Deane into daubhill and then into great lever and says oh yes isn’t multiculturalism great because if it weren’t for our Asian friends these places would be a nightmare to live. My original post was to say whites and Asians do not mix. Show me where Asians and white people mix socially as friends.
