America has dealt with COVID better than some countries. And worse than a lot of others.

America

not

Trump.

Strange that you remove him from the subject.

But not unexpected, given the circumstances

I can only go off official stats. The stats  compare CV-19 Against countries not leaders.

Good point.

The leader of each country has absolutely no influence or input into decisions which might affect how bad the virus gets under his/her watch.

Its just countries winging it.

There should be a world leader transfer market. We should break the bank to buy the New Zealand leader.

its then partly up to the residents of those countries to react to some of those decisions. Their reactions might affect how bad the virus gets under his/her watch.

And if those leaders say all bars can stay open and public gatherings are just fine and dandy, then why would they stay at home?

As you’ve indicated previously, a population cannot be relied upon to use common sense, which then directly affects those that do.

But the Don is doing a fine job. A beautiful job.

What was he said “it’ll disappear one day, like a miracle”

What a beautiful job.

Are rules not set by individual states? Genuine question as I’ve no idea how it works. A set of rules Seem come in over there and within days they can be over ruled by the sitting party in that state?

Set by the president. The governor of the state can decide to overrule them or change them and the POTUS can’t stop them, but generally if it’s a republican president and a republic governor or example they’re unlikely to go against them.

Yes that’s what I meant but not worded the best.

Individual states have power to do what they like, but will usually follow the president.

When New York was badly hit with Covid, Trump laid into Cuomo for doing his own thing and locking down.

He can’t really now tell republican governors to lock down as Cuomo will hang him out to dry.

Other presidents might just swallow their pride for the good of the people, but Trump isn’t capable of that.

Had LBC on and one of the commentators did a great piece on the farce that is Trumps management of the virus

Featured that Florida court deciding whether to require use of masks

I'm not a fan, but the loons over there were after having a doc tried for crimes against humanity for recommending the use of a mask
