The leader of each country has absolutely no influence or input into decisions which might affect how bad the virus gets under his/her watch. Its just countries winging it. And if those leaders say all bars can stay open and public gatherings are just fine and dandy, then why would they stay at home? As you’ve indicated previously, a population cannot be relied upon to use common sense, which then directly affects those that do. But the Don is doing a fine job. A beautiful job. What was he said “it’ll disappear one day, like a miracle” What a beautiful job.

A set of rules Seem come in over there and within days they can be over ruled by the sitting party in that state?

The governor of the state can decide to overrule them or change them and the POTUS can’t stop them, but generally if it’s a republican president and a republic governor or example they’re unlikely to go against them. Site Supporter Spider Posted June 26, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted June 26, 2020 Individual states have power to do what they like, but will usually follow the president. When New York was badly hit with Covid, Trump laid into Cuomo for doing his own thing and locking down. He can’t really now tell republican governors to lock down as Cuomo will hang him out to dry. Other presidents might just swallow their pride for the good of the people, but Trump isn’t capable of that.
