I was so delighted I completely forgot to buy a ticket. Think it was £60 if paid within 14 days, rising to £120. I paid the fine the next day as it was clearly my own fault Still think having to pay for parking at hospitals is a fucking disgrace though. Especially when they're charging staff.

They could give you a barcoded ticket as you exit the hospital or something? Nobody in their right mind would pretend to be a patient/visitor 5 days a week in order to get free parking close to their place of work. My other sticking point is; most (if not all) hospital carparks are run by private companies. I know the hospitals get a cut of the profits, but the idea of someone running a business that makes a financial profit from people making unavoidable/necessary hospital visits doesn't sit well with me.

To get it you had to give car details, who you were visiting etc, saved a fortune Not sure if all hospitals do that though

Just got one myself It was on a private car park at night. All the businesses were shut & it is well signposted that only an hour & half is free parking. The confusion myself & my passengers had with the signage, is it was unclear if they meant 24/7 or during business hours or what? Unfortunately I overran the time & now been hit with the £85 fine, £50 if paid in 14 days. Any ideas from the WW sages?
May 12, 201610 yr i mentioned ages back id heard on some consumer show that the law had changed in some instances, the law had been changed so that on some car parks, the owners could charge a fee relative to their losses so, if it was shut, theyd struggle to argue theyd lost owt

Probably the only car in it. aye, same here, 4am i got snapped seemed like a fair cop so just paid it reason why i paid the bus lane one was i was in the mrs car and she was passenger, so we split and it was only £15, seemed easier to pay and couldn't be arsed going toe to toe with manchester council who've taken loads of cash already on that stretch

I'm a white van man too, mines a transit, the one in the photo was a box van. Took months to sort, had to get the police involved. Have you noticed that they tell you to ring the number at the top of the notice they send you but there's only a fax number? ...arseholes!
