With regards to Yorkshire, worked with some lads from a place called Swinton, between Rotherham and Barnsley, strangest inbred fuckers I've ever met.

My Dad, born and bred in Bolton, married my Mum who is a Yorkie

 

Earliest memory as a kid going to see the relatives in Yorkshire is driving across the M62 in the early 70's. Soon as we reached Saddleworth and that plinth with the white rose on it my Dad would boo loudly. On the way back we would pass the one with the red rose on it coming back into Lancashire and he would cheer loudly

 

I'm 52. I still do it. I can't help it

I try to get to 88 miles at that plinth and tell everyone we are going back in time the tell people where we are going we don't need roads on the way back.
