Shed Seven and Supergrass at some warehouse were £40 each as well

Not cheap this gig lark these days

I'm paying over 100 quid to go watch Rammstein in Cov next year. The most I've ever spent on a single gig.

We're in the feuerzone (right at the front) so I'm expecting to lose my eyebrows from the excessive amounts of pyro.

Saw em at Glastonbury, they were mint. She's a fucking great front woman. They're on at Gorilla December I think.

I would mind, but Nick Cave was £75 a ticket, then a £10.40 "service charge" and a £1.35 "facility charge"

total £86.75

I would prefer them to charge me £90 with no seemingly random fees/amounts added on

The new Nick Cave album is off the scale. It's perfect.

£90 is steep, vertical, but at least you know you'll get your moneys worth.

yeah, though I would rather watch him perform it somewhere like the bridgewater rather than the arena

standing tickets were £67 - but wanted decent seats for this one so paid extra for the first block from the stage

there were even more expensive seats in the 2nd block

but had to be lower tier, had to be down the side, and it will be worth it

Block 103/4/5 are always good seats. The arena is hit and miss on sound quality but better suited to someone like Nick Cave. Rock bands tend to lose their impact in there.

At the Bridgewater with an ochestra, he could get £150 a ticket. Imagine how good that would be.

I find that band like Kiss/Metallica are alright in the arena.

Saw Clapton there and his blues style twiddling was lost in there.

Yeah tickets were 90 odd quid ended up at around 120 after fees and nonsense.

Plus my mate got carried away and bought us coach tickets. So we won't be able to go out in the pop before and after. So arena beer prices it is.

Best sound of any act I’ve seen at the arena was probably Muse. Well suited to Bellamy’s warbling.

Bands like Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters always seem to sound mushy for some reason.

I’ll tell you who were shit, Kings of Leon. They sounded like they were being PA’d through a fisher price microphone.

didnt help that they’re a bit shit to start with.

Foo fighters were great outdoor, QOSTA were brilliant in the arena.

Kings of Leon stopped being great in my book when they stopped taking drugs and cut their hair. Fannies.

Another band ruined by the arena

I saw them on their second album tour at the Apollo, ace

Saw them at Manchester Central for their third album, ace

Fourth album at the arena was toss and full of folk who look confused when they played anything released before sex on fire

Haven't listened to anything they've done since

As for nick cave

I was mortified when I didn't get tickets for his solo q&a thing at the Bridgewater earlier this year

Saw him do his last album tour at the arena, it was good

But I also saw him do it at kings theatre, Brooklyn, Google it, was perfect
