Leyther_Matt Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Not a huge Rod Stewart fan but enjoyed the show last night regardless. Fair play to him to still be knocking out a tune at his age. The birds doing the backing stuff (and lead on one or two numbers) were bloody superb. Quote

Backing singers were good, were they borrowed off Broadway or something? Edited June 17, 2019 by jmjhb Quote

Had a quick listen to them on Spotify the other day. Sounded mental - but half decent. Will try again. Giving Fontaines DC a go today. Irish punk band. One track in - sound decent. And hammering The Raconteurs new LP at the minute. Immense. As expected. But not as good as Consolers of the Lonely. Edited July 4, 2019 by Smiley Quote
ErnestTurnip Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Fontaines are at the Ritz in November and looking forward to that, don't think it sold out straight away so it could be worth checking but they might have gone by now. Quote
Naytch Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Was at the Pretty Green shop in Manc last night, my mate won free tickets to an event, hosted by Clint Boon with an interview and performance by ex Hac DJ Graeme Park. Free red stripe and strongbow too, lovely stuff. Quote
Smiley Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Still a classic! Thrown the Hypnotised EP on in the office a few times this week. Quote
