Try visit Manchester or Manchester gig guide; loads of venues- star and garter up to arena; musicals, gigs, comedy and more... Plus in Accy you're not a million miles from Blackburn, Salford, Bury etc all with an eclectic array of performance taking place nightly. Depends what you fancy?
