Our House...

Madness!

What'a mad is that it was recorded closer to the end of WW2 than the current date.

As you get older something odd happens

When I was getting into football and learning our history, thinking we won the cup in 1958

That seemed like forever ago

A few gigs in Manchester I wouldn't mind going to this week.

Anyone doing Snow Patrol, Dandy Warhols and Dodgy at all?

Did you not come with us to dodgy last time?

Was shit and left before the end

Edit: which made me realise following my post above I've left two gigs early

Frank Turner never disappoints and was bang on form again at Victoria Warehouse for show 2,301 on Friday. What I didn't know is he did a set in Bolton yesterday afternoon for a kids music project.

He did a show at Stockport hat museum on Friday afternoon. My mates went to 3 of his shows this weekend I went to none coz I'm a knob and spent my money on trainers instead.

Aye, but in 73 it wasnt

I don't think I grew up having a concept of stuff that happened 4 years before I was born. Even at 11 when I first started going to Burnden it was all about here and now rather than what used to be.

Not for me

First rothmans at 8 years old

I knew all our cup wins and it seemed like ages since the last one

And it's only later, you realise it wasnt

Spent last night at the monthly Northern Soul do at Perth's Irish Club. Closely followed by the Rugby Where we outnumbered the opposition about 8 to 1 (and what a night it was :yahoo:)

Anyway, came across this from a bunch of Hampshire soulies for the first time:-

Still trying to work out if I prefer the original:-

One thing I do know, I don't reckon I'd want to get on the wrong side of Ms. Williams!

Preordered the new Ian Brown album from Piccadilly Records and got a wristband to go to the signing session with IB on 1st Feb, brilliant as I am already off work that day.

Quite liking Ripples by Ian Brown. Typical fayre, but good all the same.

Had one listen to White Lies new album - going to take some listening this one. Didn't grip me.

The Specials new album - half way through it (listening as I type) - bit strange in places! A reworking of The Lunatics on there as well.

Could do with some new inspiration - if anyone has any - for some new stuff (or old that I've not bothered with previously).
