They finished up with Louder, it was bloody brilliant!

Started to listen to a load of old album I haven't listen to in years. Can't remember where I've left my keys most days but know all the lyric to The Bends.

Just is easily the weakest song on the album as well.

Bought that on vinyl for my brother for his birthday last week

Black Star is my favourite Radiohead song

Great tracks either side of it too

Love the new Arcade Fire song/songs that came out last night. Gets better with each listen.

Just got the new Dark Funeral album, We Are The Apocalypse. 10/10

I know its my job and I'm hapy to allocate tickets to agents and work with TM all the time, but I'd forgotten how much of a cunty chops it is to buy a ticket on poresale through them. Just uploading and going back to the queue. Got four pages and my phone open across Manchester and London - can I buy a ticket? Can I fuck.

Phew - got them (they are my mrs birthday present - she is a massive fan) £75 quid each though - with all the add ons £153.00

....And no Ministry in support. Booooo!

153 quid for 2 tickets! fuck that.

NIN are quality but there's no way i could justify that much on a couple of hours entertainment.

Its my mrs favourite band, she's not seen them in years, its her birthday and its our local venue. No nasty festivals.

Plus being a WW £130k per yearers...pocket change 😉

I get the price of tickets has gone up because of streaming services and the like but the price of tickets is a piss take . Won’t stop me going if I really want to go but it must be pricing a lot of younger folk out of seeing live music . Seems a bit counterproductive .

Fair point i'd probably go that far for Metallica but no others.

I'm lucky my Mrs like Ska-punk so we're off seeing Less Than Jake for £60 for both of us.

Gigs tickets seemed to be levelling out but now look to be going back up.

Depends on who you are seeing.

NIN are a prime 'heritage' act playing small venues - they can charge what they like. Same with Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Sigur Ros both playing Brixton. They know the age of their fans and most will be able to afford it.

Big Thief the other week was full of kids really (even gave a few quid to someone who didn't have enough for a hooky t-shirt outside) and that was £30.

The idea that if you are young you won't buy tickets because of the costs is a bit of a myth. Young people spend a lot on things they value - pricing things cheaper for entertainment doesn't actually lead to more sales in certain demographics. Its about pricing smartly - people don't want to be ripped off, but its about knowing what value your target audience will place on a item, so you can outprice yourself but just making things cheaper doesn't mean you always sell more, and also you are just buying back your own tickets.

Its a bit of a boom time for certain things.

Things are selling well for 'fluff' ie pure entertainment and music. Other things outside of major urban centres with older audiences are still struggling a bit.

I've got tickets to more things this year than ever.

Although tonight I've got to go to Richmond and watch Fatal Attraction. I'd rather pull the hairs on my ballbag out.

YYYs was only £38 which I thought was a fair price for the Apollo

I'll pay £75 for NIN as I've never seen them, I really really want to see them and it's at the Apollo

Paid less than £100 for 3 different gigs in the last 3 months so I was happy with that. £60 for libertines one June which I’m ecstatic about.

Im toying with the idea of getting me mam Florence and the machine tickets for Mother’s Day but got a feeling I’m going to get stung for the screaming wench

Its the band really though, not the venue they are playing. NIN could have done the 02 if they'd wanted.

Think seeing Sigur Ros in a small 5k seater would be great as well.
