Watching the beginning of the beatles doc just reminded me how perfectly done The Rutles spoof is, and as for Spinal Tap, I don't doubt nothing much has changed with the egos and stupidty of rock stars.

My favourite spinal tap reference was when watching preschool telly with my lad a few years back Blaze and the Monster Machines had an episode where Blaze plays the guitar and he turns the amp up to 11 to drown out baddie and his terrible music. Made me chuckle every time he watched that episode.

Big Thief's double album Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You is right up there for me. They are such a good bad, consistently release amazing albums.
