We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

Not really relevant to us but how the Fcuk has Jamie Vardy not been signed up by anyone??

We've got the "new" Jamie Vardy (when his wrist is mended)

I see on twitter we're being linked with Erhanon at Lincoln.

If we could get this lad, Kenny on loan and i'd even take Cosgrove on a free then i'd be pleased with that.

Still think we're light at RB mind.

We seem to want players who have been massive pricks against us.

There's also a difference between us wanting someone who's been a massive prick against us but is good, not much issue with that, and wanting someone of that ilk who's also crap.

Maybe. Celtic will want him playing 30 odd games I reckon. At a comparable level. At a club with high expectations (relative to the league they’re in). I could be a million miles off but I think we have a good chance. Time will tell.

The fact that we've already actively courted him and most likely had some discussions before Celtic offered him the stay, I think we're in a good place if he's available on loan

Didn’t Schuey infer that we were first in the queue for a loan for Kenny or is it another one I’ve imagined? 🥱

Almost certain you've imagined that.

It was just the Plymouth connection, schuey would know how to get the best out of him. Everyone saying he’s shit, scored more goals in league 1/2 than Dalby. Not many, but both are a pretty low bar.

id much prefer a proven goalscorer at this level fwiw, just don’t know what we have to play with

Our top scorers next season will be the wide lads playing off the no9 target man

SS did say that he didn't envisage Dalby being used to bang in loads of goals, more to be a focal point, with guys playing of him.

Would that be Randall, a second forward, or the wide men?

Certainly the wide guys, but another forward and we're looking at a 442 formation.

If Randall, then how does it fit with us looking for another striker?

Can never have enough strikers.    Trust Bruce

The clamour for people that could bully evatt teams is borderline mental. Like picking diesel for a petrol car v chilli sauce. Will kick the can down the road etc

Indeed- just not sure that the Celtic lad would be allowed here on loan, if he isn't likely to start.

If he is a regular starter, then either Dalby isn't, or they play together, which would mean a slightly different set up to what we appear to be having.

I reckon we will buy him.

I,m thinking the same.   1.1 and deal to be done

No idea but if we bid for him before we are likely to want to sign him permanently for whatever reason. Celtic aren’t a club that can knock back a mil plus for a chap who isn’t gonna get a sniff. That new contract may have doubled his fee, similar to when Anelka did his here maybe.

We will be 4 2 3 1

The 3 being two wide men and a no10

A target man up top dropping deep or leading the line.

It's a shoot out between Randall and McAtee for 10. The two wide attackers pick themselves then it's Dalby/Warren or whoever we sign at 9.

The 2 behind will be Simmons and either Sheehan or Morley.

Back 4 picks itself.

Seems to be some confusion over this.

I thought he had too, or was it just an offer?

If we did buy him, the question still remains- who starts up top?

Yes. Apparently we had a 500k bid turned down before he signed his extension. We might get him on loan though.

Dalby or Kenny😂

I think so too.

Watch Conway's goal from Tuesday again, and watch McAtee's efforts.

Just a brief moment in a friendly, but it does my swede in watching a player stroll about.

Give Randall a go for me.

Wonder where our new found non-league super hero fits in to this as well.

Looked decent enough until his unfortunate wrist break.

More effort than McAtee!

The 9 will not manage 90 minutes every game. If they do, they’re not putting in the required shift. 2 x 9s will both get plenty of time on the pitch, with no injuries.

The 10 role might be Warren’s long-term role?
