I agree about the asking price , but as for carbon copy , well they couldn’t be more different . Connell is all about control, measured & accurate passing & a sneaky foot in here & there.

I’m thinking build size, role in the team, both lefties. If anything I’d say Thomason offers a lot more going forward, but Connel can take a set piece. Thomason is quicker too.

You have pretty much ensured he will get injured Saturday now.

Osei Tutu is ok backup, but as much as like him and Dacres Cogley, I think we can upgrade there at some point. 

Tutu can't be expected to play as a full back.

Would prefer a full back there though.

Masi, I don't undertake why you keep making this point- no one is saying we are going that way.

Just simply that one the odd occasion- injuries, opposition, state of the game etc- that the manager may look at adopting such a move mid game.

It is simply an option.

Wonder if Conway could play as a box to box CM, those driving runs are a rare quality at this level. Could be something to think about if we get an out and out left back.

I don't think we'll play the same formation, 90mins per week for 50+ games.

We both agree on that the mainstay he will play is 4/2/3/1  changing perhaps to 4/3/3.... Getting rid of Thommo and with Dempsey injured i doubt we will go 4/4/2 this season as again you are taking  the strength of our wingers out of the equation and we certainly are short of playing two up at this time.........Just i dont see us ever returning to 5 at the back
