FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

As for ACD, he was never coming back. Brighton will want him in a team nearer the top of the table. I’m just happy he hasn’t gone to Blackburn, Burnley, Preston or Wolves

I'm sure your right but also I expect a loan deal was out of our price range as well.

You can imagine last season Brighton subsidised a fair proportion of his wages to allow him to rediscover his mojo with us.

He signed a new contract yesterday before going out on loan, so wages up mega bucks again and I suspect Boro are paying the vast majority of them.

Cunt

I don't think there was a problem spending a bit of money.

The issue for me was having all our eggs in one basket with this Max Dean chap and deciding for some mad reason to give has medical on deadline day and it falling through.

Similar stories across football like but why the fuck do clubs leave things so late?

How do you know they're decent?

Don't actually think Cardiff signed a striker.

Lincoln have took a punt on on some giant who last season was playing in the Swedish second division...

Cardiff signed Jack Moylan from Lincoln, leading scorer, Lincolns signing was playing in the Swedish 1st division. Next!

Wouldnt be surprised if hes not doubled his wages.

I don't think it was down to us leaving it until the last day. From what I've heard/read his club fucked about and kept changing certain parts of the deal so wouldn't let him until we agreed

Somebody told me yesterday, they can’t do a medical until you’ve got them through the door after agreeing with the selling club.

So these shenanigans from Gent have prevented anything happening sooner.

Could make sense?

I’m relatively happy with the window. Bair had his best season at Motherwell and scored a shed in his spell with 2 wingers.

I’d of liked Kenny back but it wasn’t to be. We move on.

I think we will do alright. I like the new signings and each one seems an upgrade from the limited stuff I’ve seen.

Time will tell on Bair, Nelson and Banzanu as we don’t know yet.

SS loves it here and got a massive pay rise in the summer. He ain't walking

Good

Gent will have an unhappy player on there hands because of greed and no way Kenny is worth 3 million.

Has someone insinuated he might do?

Folk are cracking on like we've not made a load of signings.

We just missed out on a dude at the last minute that no fucker has any clue about in the first place other than him showing off his ADHD in a training session.

He can carry on talking to himself in some wank arse league for the rest of the season while we crack on and stay up without the biscuit kneed mad scouse cunt.

Just noncey chops in the screenshot above

Moylan, a attacking midfielder/winger but.... decent signing, but isn't a striker.

For the Lincoln lad, this season in the top flight (half a season), last season in 2nd division... before that Danish 2nd division... Massive punt, could work, could be the next Jan Koller, could be Kevin Francis though. Maybe neither, maybe Peter Crouch, and he wouldn't suit Lincolns style of play.

Bair's a punt, but limited risk on loan with an option, same as Dong.

Would have been nice to get that no.9/no.10 with pace to play off the shoulder, but we've filled pretty much every other weakness than that in the squad.

Decent window IMHO, but only time will tell.

What's not helped yesterdays deadline day is the fact we also lost. If we win or get a point last night I'm not sure the meltdown is as big from some people.

There's 20 league games between now and Jan 1st. No pizza cup. No Carabao. And I don't think we go into the FA cup until end of year/start of next year?

There's more than enough in that squad to get points until the next window for certain. It wasn't a bad performance yesterday and there's a lot of positives. We just need to really tighten up and work on defending and staying switched on for 90 mins (where have we heard that before). And work on defending set pieces too.

Correct. Personal terms are usually agreed well before the buyer has even discussed a fee with the selling club, but you can't do a medical until the fee is agreed and the selling club gives permission

Are you for real? 6ft 7" striker wont suit Lincolns play? Thats exactly the signing they need, to get on the end of long balls, free kicks, long throws! Because thats all the do!

Youve lost me with the Lincoln lad. You say this season top flight, no, championship, last season 2nd division, no, league 1. But, yes, hes a very good signing, already scored in two of Cardiffs three games.

Not sure how playing around five games for us followed by an injury can elevate Kenny's value from 1-3 million.

He's not worth it and has no proven track record playing at Championship level.

Celtic must be laughing all the way to the bank. Preston must have been desperate for any kind of signing and paid over the odds

Didn't help McAtee missing a golden change, bottling a run through on goal and pressing like he was a Dad trying to put his 3 year old kid off playing in garden.

Randell gone on loan to chesterfield

I'm not going to pretend yesterday wasn't a thoroughly demoralising one.

We knew we weren’t getting ACD but seeing him go to on loan to another club in this division was a blow.

Kenny, just seemed quite the turnaround &, again, to go to Preston hurts a bit.

Dean. Well, if he failed a medical that's game over for now I guess. Gent must have known & they played us & so late our options were few.

Then a 94th minute loss after a decent enough game put the icing on it all.

But I'm not looking to burn anyone & our squad is by some way better than last year. But we do/did need that elusive striker.

Wouldn't expect anything else from McAtee.

He played 14 games for us and the only bid they've ever accepted for him (as far as we know) is the one from PNE.

That he was ever available for £1m is just an assumption.
