December 22, 20169 yr A decent enough Malbec here too, but I confess to having a couple of glasses or more every day this week. By the time New Year comes I am going to be an alcoholic with the amount of booze in the house.
December 22, 20169 yr I wouldn't normally drink during the week, but fook it, it's Xmas and I've had a drink every day this week, last day at work tomorrow, until the 3rd January. Over the festive period, I'll be limiting myself to just Lager, white wine and Whisky & coke on a daily basis, that's it!
December 22, 20169 yr Just on the mulled wine, second bottle now. It's medicinal...ask that eyewitness from the Berlin market, it saved her life...
December 22, 20169 yr A gentle start tonight with a nice Malbec Big style tomorrow Same format except I'm quaffing a good Rioja
December 22, 20169 yr Baileys Monday, Malbec tues, wed, thursday. Kicking on from tomorrow though as I'm off now and have 20% discount at the Co-op until Christmas eve. Might chuck the odd pint of water in here and there before 3rd Jan too.
December 22, 20169 yr A gentle start tonight with a nice Malbec Big style tomorrow It started after 41 mins of leaving the office, which took 40 mins to get home... See you on Wednesday. Thanks again. Vodka now, Russian Standard...
December 22, 20169 yr Aldi's Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at £5-odd a bottle. Already done the Xmas stash this week. Finish work tomorrow so off to Aldi again to restock
December 22, 20169 yr I genuinely think due to the Christmas date, we are going to see serious casualties in the rough as roll fuck call next week. My head is already like a Whirling Dervish. Edited December 22, 20169 yr by miamiwhite

December 23, 20169 yr It still amazes me, grown adults admitting to drinking large quantities of alcohol, and thinking "it's cool". A bit like smoking round the back of the bike sheds @ school when you're 14. It ain't.....
December 23, 20169 yr Joining in with topic... I've had at least a glass of wine every night for a week now where as usually only have a tipple on a weekend. Gone for Californian red this year along with the usual Malbec.

December 23, 20169 yr Not a drop since Monday. Will no doubt sink a few of the Cru des Cotes du Rhone from Asda reduced from £10.50 to £6.00 that I've stocked up on over the last 8 weeks tonight till xmas eve. A light quaffable red which only leaves a slight fuzzy head after 2-3 bottles. Then seriously its a couple bottles of Sancere ice cold and one good bottle of vintage Amarone for the xmas table.

December 23, 20169 yr That's some staff discout! They've started doing 5% banked as points when you buy a coop branded product. Another 1% goes to the local community think Horwich was some elderly care scheme. Some of the coop wines are very nice so I'd banked 43 quid through that since it started! Then a further 20% off this week for staff discount. Ace.
December 23, 20169 yr Nice one stevie. That 1% is handy, Adlington Scout Group is sharing it with a good cause in Horwich for the coop's in Htown/Aggy and it will end up with a couple of grand or more for each charity.

Think the Horwich one wanted about £600 for a day trip out, when I checked it was at about £3.5 split with the scout group.
December 23, 20169 yr what the fuck are you talking about I wanted to say the same but didn't want to say owt. I was supping beer round the bike sheds when I was 14! I was dead cool  Edited December 23, 20169 yr by C86
December 23, 20169 yr Keep me on carling I can do 10-12 pints in a few hours without a problem. No issues, no dramas. Throw one spirit or a glass of wine in there or even a couple of premium rate lagers, its goodnight Irene and a total game changer.
December 23, 20169 yr Aye I saw that. Think the Horwich one wanted about £600 for a day trip out, when I checked it was at about £3.5 split with the scout group. Aye, it is good that the coop support local causes. Both work hard for the community and are run by volunteers only.

I am the same with the exception that 10 pints of any lager in a few hours would probably kill me. If I stick to wine I can clear a couple of bottles but the next day would be a total write-off. Cheap date me!
