February 19, 20179 yr 08.00hrs .Moor Lane cafe. Sputnik and Embankment sipping steaming mugs of tea.Under strict orders NOT to purchase train tickets until the Bat arrives. Onto Trinity Street, where Pinocchio's Dad awaits with a love letter that had been put through his letter box ,by Whitesman. Full A4 sheet with a list of Bradford hostelries.( cheers pal!). Bat arrives and heads to ticket machine , returns with 25 train tickets . 5 each !!! Grand total of £10.80.Each. On the journey we are joined by Shark , Ashburner St and Sweden Al. Via Victoria and Rochdale we land in Bradford . Straight to The Turis Green .For breakfast with Early Dart. Quite a few Wanderers lads knocking about. Decided to almost totally ignore the love letter and head to the Fighting Cock. Quick googgggggllee and its only a 17 minute walk. On the way stopped off in the Lord Clyde. Not a bad boozer , footy ,lippy bar maid , excellent view of a derelict factory out the back. Headed to The Cock . " This better be bloody good "was the mutterings from within the ranks. 20mins later , Embankment was a very relieved man. It definitely was good. Real Ale , Footy on , Food , voted Bradfords pub of year for the last 5_years at least. Excellent pints of Dark Side of the Moose. Few Bolton lads in as well.Some were stopping over . Most headed for the game . Myself , Shark and Ashburner decided to have 1 for the road. Shit 2-0 down. Are we going ? We did go ,passing some guys already leaving. Halftime and things looking grim. But Parky did his stuff , Almost immediately things look better. Wheater comes up trumps. Then Madine nods one in. Bedlam in the away end. Pity we couldn't nick another . But the players must now start to believe we can go straight up . I know I do. Final whistle and we headed back to the pub and then back to m,cr. Loads of happy wanderers everywhere. Back into Victoria where Ashburner St was waiting , yep as usual he had gone AWOL again. Headed for The Lower Turks Head our new favorite watering hole in m/cr. Give it ago lads. Roll on Sheffield , same again ,a point will do.

Cultural visits to this fair isles towns and city's.We have done this season alone. Witnessed a modeling shoot. Thames Cruise. Cutty Shark. St Paul's. Admired The Alhambra . Architecture of various Town Halls. Canal side walk in MK. Black puddings ( bury market ) Co-op museum Rochdale. Cheltenham College for Young Lady's. Whilst compiling a survey of the great British breakfast in various Spoons . We do deserve the odd pint. Plus Trotter does tend to glide across the pitch when viewed through a beer induced haze.

Last Friday of the month Saltaire brewery has beer club, opens up the brewery three or fours bars selling their beer. It is only till about ten but a good night if you like a pint.
