Spare a thought for Ben Compton. On the field for the whole match. Carried his bat for 104* in first innings and last man out for 115 in second. Batting for over 14 and a quarter hours, he is not like his grandad - more of a Boycott.

April 23, 20224 yr Enjoyed the cricket at Lancs yesterday. Nice to see Josh Bohannon get his first ton. (First meaning he got a second today) Good chance of seeing two local lads playing for England this year.

April 24, 20224 yr Some decent batting performances which is very pleasing. Presumably pitches are relatively batting friendly compared to how they usually are at this time of the season, but they are still delivering which is important.

Early call, but there can’t be too many teams that are better than Yorkshire/Lancashire at that form of the game. That Harry Brook for them looks like he has all the attributes to bat well in every form of the game and with Rashid, Malian and Root have some experienced quality. We have a number of destructive batters that can add runs very quickly; Jennings, Salt, Livingstone, Vilas and that new guy David and a good range of bowlers including our own Mat Parky. May 29, 20224 yr Great finish for Lancs today. Didn’t go but watched it on Lancs tv, YouTube. Really good production and Bumble at his best. Fairly sure he’ll be back on mainstream tv soon though.
