BobyBrno Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Cracking match at OT. Josh Bohannon leading the fight back. Matty Parkinson had a 5 fer as well. Draw more than likely now. Quote

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted April 16, 2023 Site Supporter Posted April 16, 2023 Ageless Anderson done his former captain again, this time for a duck. Not sure ther is enough time left to win, but a good performance nonetheless. Quote
MalcolmW Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 That was some knock by tom Hartley, 73* off 50 balls, 5 sixes and 7 fours. The moreso as he is really a bowler who can bat a bit, rather than an all-rounder. [I've known his father for over 60 years!] Quote

I doubt it, She is from East Lancashire but Tom and his father Bill are from Ormskirk area, where the family have been market gardeners for decades. Quote

BobyBrno Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Met her in Hobart last year. Thanked her for letting me get served before her at a bar. (I was there first) In fact I think I thanked her 3 times.😊 Lovely girl. Had a chat with her, Steve Finn and Andy Zaltzman (Stato) Quote

Maybe that's what's confused you? Oh aye, I know she plays for the women's team. Not sure how her shag partner would have led me to think she was Tom's sister though. 😁 Anyway, as an aside, the new ground could be sort of starting fairly soon- just the problem of some potentially nesting birds currently in the way of what will be the wickets! Hartley and Croft put on a swift 91 to rescue Lancs and set a demanding target. Notts were 55/6 but Clarke and Hutton took them to 122/7 (needing to reach 295 to win). Stuart Broad took anchor with Anderson bowling from one end and Hartley from the other, scoring 3 off 50 balls. Hartley took a wicket with the first ball of the final over but Olly Stone (tweaked hamstring in the field) came in and saw out the remaining 5 balls. Played 4 drawn 4, so only in 7th position in the table. Quote
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 7, 2023 Site Supporter Posted May 7, 2023 Followed it. One bastard wicket. Quote
BobyBrno Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Going down to OT tomorrow. Disappointed when we elected to field as I thought we’d probably be batting and I’d miss Jimmy 🐐 bowling. Looks like the weather has changed that. Forecast much better tomorrow though. Quote
globaldiver Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 We’ve clearly had better weather than Manchester today; not unknown Quote

Had plenty at OT. Quote
