After posting in the USA Trip thread, I figured I'd just put this out there.
Northern Nevada's first ever professional football (soccer, ew) team made its debut in a friendly game last weekend against San Jose Earthquakes. They play in a converted baseball stadium, until its proven to be popular enough to get their own venue.
While the match day experience is NOTHING like back home, it is so nice to be able to go to games regularly again. One or two matches a year just wasn't cutting it for me (although at least this season I saw a win vs. Oldham). One thing that does bug me though, is that most of the games are either Wednesday or Saturday evenings, 7pm kick offs. It just feels wrong.
Wasn't sure if this should be in here or in Terrace Talk.
