Nope, I certainly don't want that - can't imagine my old man does either

Me neither.

Sorted. Tickets secured.

My 'crew' will be lowering the average age of the Macron attendees at this one.

Me - 50's

Dad - 80's

Uncle - 80's

Only my second Home game this season. Tsk tsk.

Sadly my Uncle who attended the Burnden Disaster in 46, will be giving up his life long Season T status after this match, due to age/ill health.

Sad times.

Many a memory involving pies, gallons of Bullshot, a tapped out pipe setting fire to a donkey jacket in the 70's, the hanger that fell out of said 'Smoking Jacket' when removed to save my Uncle Fred from 3rd degree B's, & more pre match Domino games than I could ever count. That & Northern beer prices, not the mortgage stretchers I'd become used to, south of the Watty Gap.

Agreed

First game of the season, away day in London on the piss Saturday afternoon please

QPR 0 - Us 4? Was a goodun. Spesh as I'd agreed to take/treat my 'marginally interested in football' mate, & then found the fruckers were charging £50 notes a ticket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grampa Spencer had been going pretty much non-stop since 1938, had to call it quits last season age and dementia meant it wasnt fair to keep dragging him to the game.

It's shitty as it was pretty much his only hobby outside of pottering in the garden.

Great effort, nearly 70 year

Hopefully he'll remember the good times

Kinell; some season for his last- poor sod watching that :(

Thankfully the dementia means he remembers fuck all of it.

He used to tell some cracking tales of him and his mate going all over the country on his Norton motorbike and side car in the 50's and 60's.

riding back from stoke in the pissing down rain arriving in Bury 'blacker than sambo' (cue scowl from my mother) and being turned away from every pub in the town centre before ending up the tap room at the Two-Tubs

Sad it is but 70 years of following his club with his family is a fantastic achievement I hope some comfort for him while fighting this terrible affliction

What a great period in history he's had watching the whites. Best of wishes to him and the family.

"He's been watching us pretty much non stop since 1938"

I make that almost 80 years?

Fantastic achievement - must be a current club record . The grand owd fella at the very least deserves a mention over the tannoy v Peterborough, in fact he should be guest of honour for the day along with all his family.

Hed not gave a fucking clue what was happening or where he was and would be asking where me mam had parked. His code for 'can I go home'.

Dementia is a cunt.

Thought I was out for this one due to a family do in Manc but now I'm in

Lazy fucker can't be arsed trawling back through the thread but,,,,,,,,,are the trains running normally that day?

I don't care what ticket prices are now, let's get 29k, and sell it out. The Macron will be bouncing next Sunday!

Don't forget thrusters it's 12 Noon on Sunday

I agree, let's sell out.....but not 29K as the ground doesn't hold that many sadly

Reckon we'll have 25K on though

After the utter shite of the last 2 home performances I think it will be a struggle to get 20k on given they will bring nothing.I cant see thousands who didn't attend v Bury wanting to go v Peterborough.I will be absolutely astounded and very impressed if there are 25k on.

Don't agree. One last push, after a good win today and we're there. Plenty will want to be there and wont want to miss a party if all works out.

Christ. If you aren't excited by next week I don't think football is for you. Don't half have some miserable twats following us.

Whether Im excited or not is irrelevant, I base a crowd estimate on the ticket price and our crowd history
We've not had 25,000 pay full price for a home league match outside the top division since the 1970s.
The biggest league match we've had outside the top division at the Macron was the play off semi final 2nd leg v West Brom when roughly 20,000 Bolton fans paid the full whack.
