Wasn’t Brexit going to push house prices down? 🙄

And the highest inflation in Europe is Poland & Hungary, they must of left the EU. 🤣

I don’t mind for Brexit… this ain’t driven by Brexit… did you miss that my Spanish mortgage is also rising?

What's it driven by? Who is your Spanish Mortgage with? Do you pay it in £'s?

Sabadell… it’s a european mortgage so I pay in euros…. And it’s going up virtually same levels as UK mortgage as it’s down to interest rates rising in Europe to combat inflation , perhaps you can explain why that’s down to Brexit? And while your at it explain why Poland & Hungry double our inflation, despite being in the EU?

We're the "5th largest economy in the world". If you're rejoicing "at least British citizens aren't suffering as much as the  Polish and Hungarians", you've lost the plot.

You’ve never had a plot, it’s down to Brexit you say, why are Poland and Hungary who are EU members double our inflation?

You voted for it, and said you wouldn't care about the financial hit as long as it happened. Now reality is starting to bite, you're saying "At least we're not Eastern European!". Suck it up, snowflake. Pay the dues you were so readily happy to pay.

Id think they were more dependent on russian energy

Wht do you reckon?

Anyway, ive not even got one mortgage, let alone 2, so all is good

Only its not, as invested stuff is climbing way slower than prices

Its costing a fortune

#13years and you fucked it up

Brexit will save us from suffering like the Europeans

That’s the plan, anyway. Must be.

So grateful our landlord is mortgage free but not looking forward to that the agent asks come autumn.

Know loads who are looking at 400 quid extra on their mortgage and it's not the affluent ones.

Also keep.hearing people saying cut back on Netflix and Starbucks 😂

Yeah that'll help.

Well my mortgage ended after Truss fucked everything up. The fix we were going to get was pulled and ever since we've been on a variable that is shit but thankfully better than anything you can get now.

No doubt things would still be shit, but as any Government finds, when it happens under your watch you get the flack and your decisions are put under the microscope.

"I'm going to smash myself in the head with a hammer because I've got a head ache"
"Don't do that. It'll really hurt"
"I don't care as long as my headache goes away!"

.....

"Fucking hell, my head is hurting even more! And I've lost the feeling in my legs!"
"Well you did hit yourself in the head with a hammer...."
"IT'S NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT! THE FELLA A FEW DOORS DOWN HAS ONLY GOT ONE ARM!"

If Labour do get in, it's an almighty mess. It'll also be a government that hasn't been in power for years. In Blair's biog he says it took the first 3 years of the 1st term to get used to being in power and why certain policies had to be changed.

This mess isn't going to be sorted for years.

So I suppose the visionaries were right, in a way.

Pretty sure a couple of folk were crowing about Germany going into recession on this thread a couple of weeks back.

And if you’re going to have mortgages here and abroad, make sure you can afford it when interest rates rise.

Thats just common sense.

Some political commentators are saying plenty Tory MPs don't expect to be in power come the next election and frankly aren’t bothered (quietly) because it will be that shit for so long. Economically hamstrung is the phrase used.

Don’t know, but one thing for sure Brexit hasn’t got anything to do with inflation…. Unless cheese can shed some light on his believe it has.

If I sold in Spain I could clear uk mortgage, perhaps that’s what I should do as got decent equity in Spanish property, however I don’t want to do that as being able to use it as a bolt hole away from UK winters is worth the financial pain.

Because it’s nowt to do with being in or out of the EU…. Shouldn’t need explaining but sadly some folk can’t quite grasp it.

They don’t deserve to be in power for a long long time.

If Labour do get in, within the first month all those Boris boys will be creaming themselves that everything isn't perfect immediately.

That's sadly the place we are now politically.
