Sabadell… it’s a european mortgage so I pay in euros…. And it’s going up virtually same levels as UK mortgage as it’s down to interest rates rising in Europe to combat inflation , perhaps you can explain why that’s down to Brexit? And while your at it explain why Poland & Hungry double our inflation, despite being in the EU? Edited June 21, 2023 by Mounts Kipper Quote

You voted for it, and said you wouldn't care about the financial hit as long as it happened. Now reality is starting to bite, you're saying "At least we're not Eastern European!". Suck it up, snowflake. Pay the dues you were so readily happy to pay. Edited June 21, 2023 by Cheese Quote

Casino Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Anyway, ive not even got one mortgage, let alone 2, so all is good Only its not, as invested stuff is climbing way slower than prices Its costing a fortune #13years and you fucked it up Quote
Spider Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Brexit will save us from suffering like the Europeans That’s the plan, anyway. Must be. Quote
Not in Crawley Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 So grateful our landlord is mortgage free but not looking forward to that the agent asks come autumn. Know loads who are looking at 400 quid extra on their mortgage and it's not the affluent ones. Also keep.hearing people saying cut back on Netflix and Starbucks 😂 Yeah that'll help. Quote
Winchester White Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Well my mortgage ended after Truss fucked everything up. The fix we were going to get was pulled and ever since we've been on a variable that is shit but thankfully better than anything you can get now. No doubt things would still be shit, but as any Government finds, when it happens under your watch you get the flack and your decisions are put under the microscope. Quote
Cheese Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 "I'm going to smash myself in the head with a hammer because I've got a head ache" "Don't do that. It'll really hurt" "I don't care as long as my headache goes away!" ..... "Fucking hell, my head is hurting even more! And I've lost the feeling in my legs!" "Well you did hit yourself in the head with a hammer...." "IT'S NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT! THE FELLA A FEW DOORS DOWN HAS ONLY GOT ONE ARM!" Quote
Not in Crawley Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 If Labour do get in, it's an almighty mess. It'll also be a government that hasn't been in power for years. In Blair's biog he says it took the first 3 years of the 1st term to get used to being in power and why certain policies had to be changed. This mess isn't going to be sorted for years. So I suppose the visionaries were right, in a way. Quote
Spider Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Pretty sure a couple of folk were crowing about Germany going into recession on this thread a couple of weeks back. And if you’re going to have mortgages here and abroad, make sure you can afford it when interest rates rise. Thats just common sense. Quote
