This is a complete stitch up being presented as "we must to restore the reputation of parliament across the country". Done the exact opposite in my view. Vindictive, nasty and unnecessary. The bloke had already gone FFS. Vote Reform Party. The rest are just an indistinguishable bunch of limp social democrats. Quote

It’s not a stitch up, because: 1 committee is elected by MPs 2 majority is Tory 3 committee can recommend suspension 4 MPs (68 Tory majority) vote whether to accept that suspension 5 If suspended, constituents can ask for a by-election 6 And he can stand again Your guy resigned at 2 If the Tories wanted him there, he’d still be the there you absolute sausage. Spider Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 The only tory emerging with any credit in all this is Theresa May. Some going, that. Rishi, whilst nothing like as bad as Boris, is proving to be a bit weak, but I think will still have enough about him to lead them into the GE defeat that awaits. Starmer needs to start showing that he has what it takes. The stage really is all his now/. Quote

So we can add Tory MPs and Ministers to the list of people who are more to blame than Boris. Not sure who is not on the list. Edited June 20, 2023 by Ani Quote

Are you insinuating that all Conservatives were Brexiteers or have I misunderstood the gist of this post? The last time I looked, there were 650 MP's in the HOC and the result of the vindictive and meaningless vote totalled 361. A complete and utter waste of parliamentary time enacted only to try to further damage his popularity with the voting public. Argue all you want but he still commands a significant amount of support out there and it really pisses off a large chunk of the charisma deprived gravy trainers pinching a living at Westminster. The parallels with what career politicians with little to offer are attempting to do to Trump are clear to see. Quote

But he didn't. He shat his pants and ran away in disgrace. Quote

He's getting into Farage type territory these days, where only utter loons seem to still support/defend him, even though he's a busted flush. Quote

Spider Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 I’ve a feeling Bolty is, not even ironically, several years behind with the news. Wait til he gets to season 22 and sees what Liz Truss does. Quote

The parallels with what career politicians with little to offer are attempting to do to Trump are clear to see. You have misunderstood. I was talking about the Tories who did not vote to support Boris. Either by abstaining or voting in favour of the report. He is a liar, he is only interested in himself and his profile. Yes he is charismatic and as a side show was amusing but totally incompetent when it came to knuckling down to do the real job. He will earn £ms on the back of the act he puts on. Most people have seen through the act he is the real life 'all fur coat and knickers' . You clearly have not, which given I give you credit for being a generally bright bloke can only be down to blinkers you wear. I would say they are blue but given they are not Tory supporting not sure what colour they would be . Sacked twice for lying, divorced twice and both times with pregnant mistresses waiting in the wings, lied about the oven ready deal, lied about no border checks, lied about the parties, lied about supporting Mays deal, the list just goes on. The word Bumblecunt was developed especially to sum him up , he is an absolute disgrace. Quote
