Can you explain though what you mean by being imprisoned? Is this from experience on living on these barges or are you just being dramatic? Also when did they stop processing immigrants?

You assumed right. I had to work to get money. Would have been nice to hit the gym and watch TV when I wanted. But hey Ho.

I stayed in a prison that has been converted to a hotel in Cape Town once.

By converted, what they meant was that they’d got rid of the guards and let people staying have a key. Other than that it was still a fucking jail, but for about £4 a night it seemed about right.

The only darkies there were cleaning the drains. That’s how they deal with it there.

Basically some folk (you can guess who) think that all the (brown) immigrants that are being housed on barges should be allowed access to local towns without being processed. If you don’t agree then you’re basically in favour of imprisoning them.
