Farage has published the full document in there it states he paid his mortgage off. Once he did this his account no longer met their commercial criteria so he was informed that account would be closed.

Apparently on page 10 of the document that is on Mail on line

Not sure that’s way it will be seen on streets of Uxbridge and Benidorm. Anyone would think there were elections imminent.

Oh aye, the Union Jack boxers brigade will be choking on their Chicken Madras and Stella.

I’m guessing the amount of adverts put you off reading the article. I persevered, no where does it say the barges are being used as a deterrent

First 2 lines of the article.

Rishi Sunak on Monday revealed the UK has bought more barges to house migrants.

And he defended his tough stance by saying people will “stop coming” if they know “they won’t get to stay”.

Do you know what they call something intended to deter people from doing something?

That has fuck all to do with the barges. Stop embarrassing yourself.

To stop them coming we will provide you with an en-suite cabin, free food clothing, wifi and TV with access to a gym, you will also have spending money to spend down town.

That will stop them leaving war zones won’t it 🤦🏻

To be honest, I saw the headline and it was clearly quoting Sunak - the use of quotation marks tells me so.

Now, at this point I must admit that I’ve read a Daily Express headline, which was my first mistake, and then I’ve assumed the Daily Express have the intelligence to use grammatical tools correctly. Then, I’ve assumed the Daily Express is telling the truth which is where I’ve really dropped the ball, because it’s basically 40 pages of bullshit they print every day.

Having said all that, are we to then assume that the barges are NOT a deterrent?

How? They’re escaping war zones aren’t they, hardly a deterrent is it. Some of these barges will be better than the hotels. And you can be pretty sure that if those who get placed on them don’t like it they will just disappear like thousands of others before them.

Germans and Dutch have done it, so maybe it is.

Tvs, games room, GP service on site. Freedom to roam. Not bad really.

Yet apparently it’s a deterrent 🙄

Not embarrassed in the slightest by your predictable use of semantics.

The Home Office:

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/21865376/illegal-migrants-housed-barges-slash-asylum-bill/

The Home Office wants the new accommodation to be a “deterrent, not a magnet” for migrants thinking about attempting the deadly Channel crossing.

It points out that EU nations including France are already housing refugees in floating vessels.

Fkinell the man who laughs at Daily mail links has gone from the express to the Sun within a matter of minutes. 😂😂

The barges are just another form of accommodation, they have all the same facilities, and it some cases better than the hotels. For some reason people think they’re being put on floating prisons. They’re not, far from it.

🤦‍♂️

Is GBNews ok for you?

https://www.gbnews.com/news/migrant-crisis-dover-barge-home-office

The Government hopes the announcement that thousands of asylum seekers will be relocated to large scale accommodation centres will act as a deterrent to those planning to enter the UK by irregular routes, like the use of small boats across the English Channel.

The Times?

https://archive.md/5TEnD

A government source said that the barge would both have a “deterrent effect” on people crossing the Channel.

Anyway, just a sidebar to the RW predictable posts-athon. Its ByElection day!

Its an interesting one, is it going to be an indicator of what happens at the GM? Are the Tories going to get a kicking?

Labour are hoping to take Uxbridge and South Ruislip, but they can't forget that ULEZ is deeply unpopular in commuter London suburbs (here is Bromley it's all anyone talks about on a political level) but the Tory majority is slim, and London suburbs have been changing demographically as more left-leaning younger families move out of central London into the suburbs and they are very much pro-ULEZ on a green basis.

Selby and Ainsty, a Northern rural seat right on Sunak's Richmond doorstep, but the conservatives have a 20,000 majority - it'll be the biggest postwar win in a byelection. Kier Mather at 25 would also become the 'baby of the house' as the youngest MP. Out of the three its the one the Conservatives can't afford lose, it'd be an 18% swing. This is the biggie.

And Somerset and Frome - Lib Dems have poured all their resources into this one, looks like Tory apathy might play a role in getting the Lib Dems across the line, although I don't honestly know much about the local issues down there which will play a role.

So, an exciting day. Looks like the Conservatives are on track to lose two of the seats, if they lose all three then we really do have an exciting run up to the GE.

Read the link that you posted. Then instead of posting the paragraph you think backs up your stupidity, post the previous ones.

Although a move away from using hotels will be welcomed by many, the plans face fierce opposition in communities near the proposed locations for the large-scale asylum seeker accommodation centres.

Residents in the village of Wethersfield in Essex told GB News they were determined to fight the plans to locate at least 1,500 asylum seekers to the nearby base.

The local district council has confirmed it is seeking a judicial review in the High Court, to try to have the plans stopped.

The Government hopes the announcement that thousands of asylum seekers will be relocated to large scale accommodation centres will act as a deterrent to those planning to enter the UK by irregular routes, like the use of small boats across the English Channel

A barge (500 capacity) isn’t a large scale accommodation centre.

Your question was "Who apart from you said they’re being used as a deterrent?". As I have just repeatedly shown, plenty have. Including Government sources.

Not sure why you're bothering, he'd argue the sky was purple to an empty room, although it's quite the real-life example of how post-truth politics works. Its not rationale, so there is no 'debate'.

You said the PM did, he didn’t. You keep lying with links that don’t back up your claim.  A barge isn’t a large scale accommodation centre.

Can you explain how you think it will be a deterrent?

Lapdog is here backing up Cheeses lies via the sun and express. Maybe you can help him out as he’s having a bit of a stinker here.
