Maybe this is part of that budget black hole they were on about

Which one? The mythical £22 billion  black hole that the Tories supposedly left after 14 years or the £50 billion that Ms. Reeves has created in 14 months?

Meanwhile the migrant from war-torn Ethiopia gets a mere 12 months at our expense for sexually assaulting a young girl.

Make any of it make sense.

I think the reason was 12 months was the maximum that a Magistrate can impose without sending on to the Crown Court and the minimum for deportation... fuck him off now would be my opinion and sod the consequences

I thought the idea of a new government was to implement changes? Not to keep making the same mistakes and in some cases a lot worse.

I agree. An oil tanker takes a fucking long time to turn around. I do agree there have been mistakes for sure and even some absolute whoppers.

And if they continue to make them it will start to make me rethink my support. But they have made some real progress on many things that doesn't make the headlines as everyone is just fixated on immigration.

‘One asylum seeker told the BBC he had taken a 250-mile journey to visit a GP, with the driver telling him the cost to the Home Office was £600.

Asylum seekers are issued with a bus pass for one return journey per week, but for any other necessary travel, such as a doctor's appointment, taxis are called.

The BBC asked the government how much it spends on taxi travel for asylum seekers via a Freedom of Information Act request, but the Home Office said it does not keep these figures.’

I watched the undercover investigation on TV last night... people coming across with stage 4 cancer to get treatment and the buggers are breeding in the hotels, having children born in the UK complicates extradition.

That is a fact. Why he didn't send it to crown court I don't know

Ask everyone how they’d stop the boats.

It goes dead quiet on here when you do that.

Don't bring the boats ashore here, take them back to where they came from... Franch will kick up a fuss but we could do with a set-to with them, they are taking the piss

Not mythical, nor the fault of the current government who must make unpleasant choices to fill it 🥰

Where the Gap Lies

The composition of the tax gap tells an important story for entrepreneurs and business owners:

  • Small businesses account for around 60% (£28.1bn) of the shortfall
  • The wealthy contribute just 5% (£2.3bn)

This imbalance has persisted for four years, yet there is little evidence of a coherent government strategy to address it. No other taxpayer group represents more than 15% of the gap.

Yeh but the Tories and Farage and Trump.
The government need to recruit some of these BBC reporters. They seem to be able to find the gang members quite easily and know what’s really going on.

Once found guilty they'd be on the first flight back to where they came from if it was up to me. Regardless of the conditions you escaped from you lost all rights to be here when you commited a serious crime.

The delayed November Budget will determine this government’s future. The last one injured them. This one could be their downfall. They/She doesn’t have many options other than higher taxes or cuts to public services.  It really is as simple as that.

Wouldn't waste the money on them plus if they've had to travel over here to escape the place and get asylum a British prison would seem nice. Fuck it send em back to get lynched by their political opponents or who ever they're escaping.

The ones we are all talking about are coming from France.

Would they be jailed in their country? What’s the chances they will be back here 6 months later. Do the crime do the time, or should we start accepting Brits back here who have committed  crimes abroad?
