Why would be because they are supposed to be running the country and should know what is being spent and where surely?

Aye.

Even if it is spent by local government, they ought to have records.

Home office, or whoever oversees it all, should be able to collate it.

Unless of course, they don't want the public to know.

Maybe they like to use "taxi" firms operated by illegals.

Fear not, only a few more years, and they'll all be stopped, once Reform have the Navy patrolling the channel

Will the army be allowed to turn back lorries when they go back to that method? I say go back there are probably loads still coming in wagons whilst focus is on boats.

Said it a million times. There's too many people profiteering from the situation for it stop.

Boats are just the tip of the iceberg.

Ask everyone how they’d stop the boats.

It goes dead quiet on here when you do that.

Labour are fools for paying it. But they aren’t the only government that has done.

I only asked why you never raised this issue for the several years the Tories were doing it. But you must have as it clearly bothers you.

I didn’t raise it. The BBC did. Can you show us some information to prove that it was going on before?

You raised it on here.

Thats why I’m asking you on here and not the BBC forums (if they exist)

Just to be clear, you posted this here. Did you not want to?

Stop giving them things when they get here.

No hotels, No HMOs, No free healthcare, No money.

Nothing.

Might see a bit of a jump in the crime figures.

The usual responses. Spider deflects to the Tories and you deflect to Reform.😅

We have a Government who are responsible for these things and they don’t have a clue what’s going on, like  kites in a hurricane.

To be fair, they're as responsible as Labour for where we are now.

As I've said before, they'll never be stopped, not in our lifetime anyway.

I don't doubt it, cut off one way of them coming, they'll find another. There is too much money being made (as pointed out by Gonzo)

Sorry

forgot to add this from the Mail (I know you trust the Mail you’ve quoted them before) from 5 years ago:

Welp.

So to speak.

Meanwhile the migrant from war-torn Ethiopia gets a mere 12 months at our expense for sexually assaulting a young girl.

Make any of it make sense.

I prefer the BBC. I don’t read the Mail.

The Tories were outed because of the reasons you have rightly highlighted. You forgot to add Boom!

Labour have done nothing to improve it and in fact it’s got worse.
It’s not like football.😉

The first of the ‘one in one out’ arrived today. A family of three. We have sent 4 back to France so far. Meanwhile, 1157 have arrived this week by small boats. I’m not sure if the 4 we sent back have made it onto one of the boats. Yet.

Where do the family go to live? Do they qualify for a house straight away?

Presumably, they’ll jump the queue before the 1157 that arrived illegally on boats this week but hopefully not before the thousands already on the list.

Labour are at least attempting to tackle the issues.

Even our own Bolton West MP was today stood in parliament discussing vape shops as fronts for laundering dirty money.

The Tories allowed it to get to a position where things were declining rapidly and didn’t seem to give the slightest fuck

None of this happened under Johnson, Truss or Sunak, oh no.

That's not to say it shouldn't be sorted of course but the political "forgetfulness" is quite telling.

Has he been around Farnworth? Took this photo in August in the town after the regeneration as a result of the last governments investment in the town.

I thought the idea of a new government was to implement changes? Not to keep making the same mistakes and in some cases a lot worse.

Yep. Not seen anything implemented around here since Labour took over.(apart from the Tory policy decisions) 4 more years yet though (or less) I’m a patient sort of guy. 👍

I’d say in most cases, worse.

They did say change though, they just didn’t say which way!

I can’t afford another Irony-o-meter to break, but you’ve just made my last one explode.

Absolute nonsense that the government just don't know how much is being spent on taxis

Maybe this is part of that budget black hole they were on about
