You seriously think that and all the videos are a good look?

Imagine that being your constituency.

I'd be fuckin ashamed to live there.

The pressure is rising for Sir Keir this evening as backbenchers start to resign in droves. A Parliamentary Private Secretary has just announced his resignation too.
Tick tock.

I don’t believe you. There's folk on a footy forum who have assured me he’s doing a good job!

They're resigning the Labour whip and going independent? - that's a brave move

Tick tock.

MPs always say they speak to constituents at their door and they say x, y or z

I've never had an MP turn up at my door. Do they actually do this actively enough to form an opinion of what the locals think

Or are they just making it up?

Could Burnham be our first PM that’s not an MP?

All those reform councillors turning up to dusty old town halls and scout huts this week to discuss the dog shit bins and planning permission for pedestrian crossings when they all thought they’d be firing harpoons at dinghies.

Good point. To use a politician’s excuse I mis spoke there. 😀

No matter. There’s just short of 60 come out now advising him to step down, including 3 ministerial aides. According to Beth Rigby at Sky News, the Cabinet will be confronting him tomorrow morning.
So, still tick tock.

Burnham is the natural choice. Fuck knows how simple they can make that though.

No. Sir Alec Douglas-Home achieved that in 1963. There were probably others before that.

They could Big Sam in charge. The only way to stop the rise of reform is to stop the fucking boats.

Where would he stand as a potential MP though?

Wouldn't bank on Labour in the north west having a safe seat

I think there’s a way without him being an MP, but would guess it’s sensationally complex.

It actually makes sense, not having an MP because it’s a full time job.

Thought when it was first mentioned that he had to be an MP then get the backing of the labour members so high risk on his part

I'm sure there is a mechanism to have a PM who isn't an MP, but I'm not sure any party would try it

I suspect Starner will go shortly, and then it'll be a run off between Streeting and Raynor
