It was also a bit quiet around the South Africa 2010 World Cup, apparently and according to FIFA, it was going to change South Africa and they would heal and become more diverse country.

As anything changed, does a done protest ?

Like i said, you could go on and on and on... the worlds a pretty shit place, but i like to think the UK is one of the most tolerant, diverse and welcoming places on earth, unfortunately some want to do it down, never quite understood that.

I was in Cape Town in January for the cricket. The poverty on the streets was a huge shock. There are parts of the city though that are as wealthy as anywhere in the world. Maybe some of the wealthy are now Black Africans but all the poor on the streets are still Black.
I was told, by a South African, that during the World Cup all the poor were removed from the streets for the duration of the competition.

Check the figures arrested during the demo last weekend.........then check the figures later after the trouble at Waterloo.......that's what you need to know, as they were much higher.

Just wait until the names of those charged come out.....you'll soon realise.

Think everyone agrees the BLM is trying to promote an important and real issue ?

That campaign is being used by extreme groups to simply cause havoc. Also being undermined by middle class people inventing issues where none exist to show their worthiness.

The campaign to defend statues is in the same being hijacked by people just up for a ruck.

Not sure why from there it becomes Raheem Sterling’s job to sort out human rights in Qatar.

We’ve heard it now, can they just pipe down a little, lots of other disadvantaged folk around let their voices be heard.

Good points there, though the defence of statues was a reaction to earlier actions from morons.

If that hadn't have happened nobody would have been there last week

Raheem Sterling...and HARRY KANE get paid to play football, that's their job.

So they have jobs , pay their taxes and are entitled to have an opinion. Why have you put Harry Kane in caps ?

Do you think Marcus Rashford has done well this week ?

I laughed when the Shrewsbury yoof came in Hogarths, it was full of Bolton old heads and nobody batted an eyelid, they ran out to some ruck in the next street with the Bolton yoof and came unstuck. They came back in the pub nursing wounds.

The Kick it Out campaign in football has had pretty much universal approval. I haven’t heard any dissenting voices. The BLM Organization though has been divisive and will continue to be so.
All football should continue to promote and expand the Kick it Out initiative and avoid the politics of BLM.

They certainly are, but they can come across as a bit hypocritical, but they will play in the WC in Qatar despite all the inequalities that have gone on, you know gays, lesbians et al. Just wondering if their strong beliefs for inequality will come into play then andvthey will boycott, like i said ...not a fucking chance.

HARRY KANE was in caps, because i mentioned both, not just Sterling.

You make some valid points.

I went watching U2, Zooropa tour, fucking hated it because that cunt Bono was just spouting politics all the way through the gig, i just wanted to listen to the fucking music, thats what i paid for, not to listen to someone in their soapbox. That is where i am with footballers, yeah have an opinion, have a voice, but unfortunately they will have to put up with the backlash from fans, because people have differing views and opinions.

By the way i fucking hate U2 from Beautiful Day onwards.

Worryingly I have heard a couple of U2 tracks recently and thought ‘maybe they are ok’. Your note will help me get back on the straight and NARROW. 😁

There is currently no-one campaigning equally against every injustice on earth. Therefore, according to the logic on here, anyone campaigning against any injustice is a hypocrite and shouldn't bother.

The National Anthem will be next for upsetting the Scots.

Last verse.

Lord grant that Marshal Wade
May by thy mighty aid
Victory bring.
May he sedition hush,
And like a torrent rush,
Rebellious Scots to crush.
God save the Queen!

Prefer Jerusalem myself so not too bothered.
