only the good die young.

I'm another one who didn???t know him but having done the lower leagues in the 80's I would say there is a good chance that we had met.

Condolences to family and friends.

Laurence (ex A/B)

I didn`t know the lad but I`m sure I would have met and talked to him in years gone by.

Condolences to his family and friends.

RIP

Very sad story.

Don't know him, but probably a face i would recognise at the game from down the years.

RIP.

Theres a tribute for him on Englandfans, but I can't seem to get on, anybody know how to???

Didn't know him, but undoubtedly shared the same terraces.

RIP

did not know him too well...but enough to know he was a top lad....

deepest sympathy to family and freinds

What a shame.

Didnt know him personally but saw him only last Sunday at Boro outside Dr Browns pub and have shared the same train as him on countless occasions watching the Whites.

My thoughts and prayers go to all the Family.

RIP.

funeral decisions being made today, will post tommorrow, Veronica has indeed requested all attendees wear Bolton/England shirts. Fearnys ashes will be scattered at The Reebok. Fitting place for him.

Reebok Voice is making enquiries at the ground re-minutes silence, but obviously thats not his decision and he can only do his best, he will however try to mention him, so for the first time ever, can we all be at the match before kick off. ( not that fearny ever was !!!)

Veronica has requested that flowers come from family only, and is coming to a decision on charitable donations.

She has recieved many emails from friend of Fearnys up and down the country, and is touched by the many mentions for him on message boards etc.

An absolute Tragedy.

Fearny was Bolton Wanderers through and through.

He will be sadly missed.

My thought are with Veronica and his family.

never good to hear about anyone's death, let alone a fellow Trotter

RIP Fearny

Its just sinking reading all these messages friend of mine for 25 years just having a laugh last week about something we did when we were 17

I met Fearny for the first time in Lisbon this last summer and I have since met him at most if not all the away games since. I found him to be a real genuine and nice guy who had time for everyone. My sympathy goes out to his wife and family.

sad to hear about his passing .

Met him only a couple of times but he was a top man thoughts with all the family and friends.

RIP Ferny

Did'nt know him but reconisged him from the photo, i'm pretty sure it was Ferny who scared the living shit out of me at i think it was sunderland away when Okocha scored. If it was him, he went ragging mental.

Respect to the guy, true football fans role model.

The Wanderer

didnt know him but its always sad to lose a fellow wanderer

R.I.P

I went to the scene of the accident yesterday and left a tied a bouquet of flowers to the lamp-post with a Bolton scarf and when I drove past tonight they had gone, I'm absolutely ragging fuming.

RIP Ferny, you were too good for them thieving Salford fuckers!

Belated sorrow to Ferny, owing to the computer being down for two weeks. Just cant stop thinking about it,known him at the game for over 20 years, very sad loss, RIP MARK.

BWFC fans should honour this guy, annually.
