I was fortunate enough to miss a 0-4 defeat a few years later when Peter Barnes and Phil Neal fell out and Wanderers fans were fighting each other in the away end. Johnnyrotten Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 I was only talking about home league games, I can talk about those with the benefit of having seen them all for a few decades but only a few a season away. I did see the 4-0 at Bramhall Lane, how bad was Barnes for us! Worst in that era was being 6-0 down at Notts County at half time and we took a great following. Difficult to pick which was worse, 0-3 v Sheff U or Forest but I felt like we were in with a shout and competing up to the hour mark v Forest but Sheff U had the game rapped up after 25 minutes, that was the dullest home game for ages. Even the penalty save was a brief moment of joy v Forest. Quote
