So it is ok to break the rules if you use common sense

It was safer than going to the supermarket or the offy, which we all do

Not sure what the issue is

I came into contact with no one, even the guys at city were 10 metres away when they said clear off

not sure it quite works like that either

How does it work then? I know of people who go to work with other people because it's allowed

Other than my household I've not been near anyone else in weeks, other than down the shops

Covid can't catch you if you're on a bike

Common sense. What happens If you was to have had an accident on your bike?

Always said Boris’s trust in the general public has been his biggest down fall.

I'd ring the Mrs and ask her to pick me up

Anything more serious could happen 2 miles down the road just as it could 10

My conscience is clear

No more than if I'd stayed strictly within the boundaries of Stockport and did laps amounting to 25 miles

That’s deflecting. And you know it. Fuck all to do with anyone what you do. But you clearly broke the rules and are doing what others have/are doing which you’ve criticized their thinking/excuses of common sense/haven’t endangered anyone ? Unless I’m mistaken?

No it's not

I could stay within a mile of home tomorrow and go the the supermarket, off license, Costa, McDonalds etc all in the name of essentials

Some folk will put themselves at a far greater risk going to work

I've never criticized anyone for doing anything deemed essential and have always said do what you have to but proceed with caution

It makes no difference if i ride to Manchester or Stockport and back, same distance, one is local, one isn't

Because they’re going to work and in many cases likely to be essential workers.

They’re not cycling to football grounds to compare floodlights

One is within the rules one isn’t. You may disagree with the rules. I do too. So it makes a huge difference if you choose to break them. No different than anyone else doing it.

So how far is too far when it comes to riding a bike?

When i get to the bottom of my road, Cheshire is 1 mile away if i go left, Manchester is 2 if i go straight on and the centre of Stockport (where i live) is 4 if i go right
