Just seen in facebook,  13 years today we lost Dave ding-dong-do Higson .

Bloody hell.

Hope he's not looking down and thinking wtf?

Still, anybody fancy getting yer hand yer pocket for a run off?

In a box of boddingtons bitter there is always a flat one. Must be the law.

Rub off even

Since we were good?

Great stuff. He even survived the Souness stare.

What a fucking star that man was.

Dave probably thought Andy Walker was taking the piss, but he definitely meant it.

was sat next to him at newcastle , the week before he died , great bloke, bwfc legend

Agreed. Always approachable, warm and friendly. The players giving testimonies to a true pillar of the club- fully deserved.

Ground was crumbling, and there genuinely was little money about then. However, there was plenty of honest endeavour and the match day experience was magnificent, and Dave perhaps encapsulated that with his commentary; clearly not polished but we loved him for it.

Wonderful times and a wonderful bloke.

Great tribute that - makes me want to dig the vhs out and get roadrunner productions on.

He’s looking down saying

”Oh no, no! KA he’s acting like, well, like a cunt, so to speak”

I got all the right words but not necessarily in the right order!

Worth another look. I’m right in the middle, upper tier behind the goals.

As police dogs mauled Bolton fans on the pitch dressed as nuns, gorillas and worse after the Wrexham game Dave uttered those immortal words: "..the police are behaving like animals, like pigs so to speak.."

God bless you DH.

Dave used to walk round BAE Lostock on a Friday pm selling BWFC scratch cards, he got dogs abuse from non whites fans ‘fuck off Dave’ but he loved it “thank you very much sir and god bless you” was his reply.  A true BWFC  legend and a lovely bloke, sadly missed the glory years

Remember seeing him at Newcastle. Must’ve taken him ages to get up all them steps with his dodgy hip.

Great bloke, loved BWFC

He died 14 years ago, it was 2005 the same year Ferny left us.

I'm not sure that's the point.

Typo.

It’s that away game at Port Vale that makes me smile most with his commentary

But.....fook me look at that away support at Wrexham. A day I’ll never forget

Best ever.

Definitely one of them. The only time at work I've had a disciplinary hearing. Drove my company Astra there and back on 3 cylinders at 30mph due to a knackered HT lead and blew summat in the engine that cost a fortune to repair

That tribute is brilliant.........just brilliant.

That's our Club right there......all in it together......brought a tear to my eye.

I can only hope that after all this mess is sorted we can get back to that again.

RIP Dave Higson you were an absolute star. Hope you're having a Ding Dong Do wherever you are!

Folk mentioning Wrexham. I'm sure Dave wouldnt mind reliving....

Still get goose bumps and a raised moisture content in the eyes.

Awesome.
