Fair assessment I reckon. To see a world record today, that may last for many a year, is something to pass down the generations.

What are you talking about, there's the women's 'Ashes' on.

Next you'll be telling me you haven't been mesmerised by this Summer's Football World Cup?!?

Yep - on balance happier to play them than India - think we're better than both of them if all 3 teams are at their best, but have India slightly above. Shame the injuries seem to have hit their worst players though, if anything the fresh blood might strengthen them.

Lots of Indians bought tickets for Edgbaston. Could be plenty available for England fans the way things are going.

Looked online yesterday and talking £200+ and upwards of £1600.

Yep. Saw the same. I’ve been offered some tickets from an Indian friend of mine but he wants over £300 which is what he paid. I saw that the Barmy Army were only able to get 30 tickets for the last England/India game.

It’ll be interesting to see how much they are going for at 11am on the day of the match.

Looking like new Zealand for the final. India 97-6.

Need 240 with 18 overs left.

Bit of a surprise.

What a ridiculous scenario.

Anyone not attending nor returning their tickets should be banned from receiving any in the future.

Or don't sell knockout stage tickets until teams are known.

Great result, now let’s do our bit

Absolutely belting - watching the highlights now with the rare treat of a silent Indian cricket crowd.

Saw a bit this afternoon whilst waiting for the gas man!

A cracking game in fairness.

Sunny in Brum.

Aussies to bat first. Let's hope we can buck the trend and chase down a score.

Nailed on loss now. Can't chase.

Thrapped them last year. Not sure how many were chasing, but we have to believe. New Zealand did!.

We were brilliant at chasing for 4 years - we chose to chase if we won the toss. This WC hasn't favoured chasing because pitches have got slower, but to say England can't chase is ignoring 4 years worth of matches.

Cheers for the good dose of optimism. Come on England!
