Weathers too nice pal eh. All the folk who have the virus will be in the house anyway I reckon so it’s safe to go out for a bit.

10 mile walk this morning before a soul was really about. Down the coastal path along the sea front and back. Cleared the mind a treat. Home breakfast demolished and now a day in the garden. Might go a walk later tonight But that will be the extent of my activities today mate.

Sadly it may well be inevitable if folk don’t stay the fuck at home mate.

problem is it will tip many folk over the edge if they bring that in. Civil unrest may be just around the corner

I enjoy a walk, but I'm keeping well away from places that will be busy.. that's common sense..

I live walking distance from Crompton Lodges but I certainly wouldn't go there, or Farnworth Park (despite FP being pretty empty).

Apparently Crompton Lodges carpark is shut, but people are just parking on the road. Get the police to go down issuing fines, rules simple, you shouldn't be driving to a place to exercise.

Agree completely. Folk driving to places to take their dogs a walk as well. Insane. And needs clamping down on.  Exercise starts at your door and ends there. Doesn’t involve a car

I’m going to have my first drink of the lockdown today. Got some magners in the fridge and plenty of ice. I’m thinking soon as I’ve cut the grass then it’s time to crack on open

This is not good. But I’ve heard it from two nurses I know. Both have been told not to publicly complain. We aren’t China. We need to stop censoring the news like this. And we need honesty about the real situations healthcare workers are facing.

Got to differ slightly there. Paths around our way have never been busier. They're not overly wide, with not a lot of open space to keep well away from other folk.

There are however three large areas of fields and open space within 3 or 4 minutes drive.

We go, take all three dogs at once, they have a blast for a while, and no one within a hundred metres. Maybe more.

Weighing up the relative risks, the large open field is the safest and wisest option.

Wouldn't contemplate a drive to a well known/used beauty spot though.

Fair enough pal guess if you are restricted where you are due to overuse then can see the requirement for that. I don’t have that issue so I have quite an isolated view

You'll know Blackshaw brook area, the old railway and the 'bunk' I think it was referred to once.

Loads of families out and gippers walking. Not complaining, as they're doing what they're supposed to and not travel to the coast etc.

It just puts inevitable pressure on the small open spaces.

If we pop down to new house farm for example in the evening, crowds have gone, and the whole area is available for perhaps 2 or 3 dog walkers.

Trying to stay in the garden in the daytime- loads to do.

Planted 2 bean plants yesterday and one of the cunting dogs has dug one up.

Ive done stand by for the NHS voluntary transport service since Thursday and i’ve not once  been called upon yet to do any jobs. Apparently it’s been a pre planned “soft launch” for this service, so i guess it might get busier as the Corona cases increase. I’ll be glad to get out of the house tbh.

I was approved for this on Friday afternoon having applied probably 7-10 days ago now (who has a concept of time any more?) but haven't put myself as 'available' yet on the app. Will be interesting to see how it works really and as you say at least gets me out of the house.
