Indeed, but it'll be very easy to prove, although, it's not an illegal thing to do (even though it is a bit unsavoury)

Sure, not illegal. You could argue our age of consent laws are a bit archaic. Some argue 18 should be the age of consent but with Romeo & Juliet clauses (as in other countries) so that it protects older adults grooming legal age kids but doesn't prosecute a couple of 16 year olds.

I've never seen it, but I know plenty of people who think it's very good. It's basically about a middle aged man noncing school girls isn't it?

You certainly could. The age of consent is 16 because 16-year-olds shag each other, and there's not much anyone can do to stop it. It's not intended to make it 'technically legal' for older men to shag school pupils who aren't allowed to drive, vote, drink alcohol, or get married yet. Although it seems plenty of men think it is.

It’s not illegal for a 35 year old bloke to plug himself into a 16 year old girl.

Its morally reprehensible and if a bloke that age was sniffing round my 16 year old daughter he’d be having an unfortunate accident.

Not illegal but when you're in your 30s and rehearsing lines with your girlfriend so she can lie to her dad and sneak out of her room late at night then something has gone wrong in your head

Watched the sweeney the other day and carter was ogling a school girl in uniform on her bicycle on her way to school nudging an other copper in the car saying have a look at that and how much he liked girls in school uniforms . That episode was the mid to late 70s
