No such hassle with the Miele. Turbo brush eats pet hair.

Decent vacuum prolongs the life of your carpet. FWIW Henry's are decent and about 125.. last you years.

But I've had my carpet for over a decade now. OK it's past its best, and Im thinking of getting it replaced, but it's in good nick because I look after it. And it's outlasted 2 vacumes. Are you saying if I got an expensive hoover I could get another 10 years out of it before it starts looking liks it does now?

He was told right from the off that I wasn't in the hunt for a £500+ Hoover. He wasn't bothered at all and explained that he got paid whether he sold anything or not. He asked if I had any salt as he had a blood pressure disorder. I brought a box of Saxa Salt out and he tipped some on the floor so he could show me how clean he could get it. Look, no salt! I pointed out that if he hadn't put the salt on the carpet that would also result in me not having salt on the floor and added that if he didn't pack his gear up I'd throw him out and keep the kirby. He packed up and left but what a cock. Note to all - don't invite a kirby Vacuum salesman into your house.

There is a cylindrical pyramid shaped part.. runs down the middle of the waste bucket. wire brush to the outside of that, take it off and blow it off with some air.. good as new.. The handle is telescopic and that breaks really easy. They're not all shite.. you just tend to find as Undies rightly said.. the more of a fashion thing, the less functional they are. Get a hoover junior.. last you years.
