May 21, 20206 yr Had a day off the ale yesterday. Mainly because I'd drank so much the day before (father in laws funeral) and the mere thought of alcohol imbibing was enough to dry wretch. Plus the dangly thing in the back of my throat was the size of my ball bag. Never again. Til 6pm anyway.
May 21, 20206 yr I've drank far, far less in lockdown that usual, I like going out and usually get leathered on a Friday and Saturday with my mates down the local, I don't drink during the week either, no matter what's going on. Im certainly financially better off for not spending £80~£100 per week down the pub. We've got shit loads of booze here at home, but it rarely gets drunk, unless we have friends around....which clearly hasn't been happening, because of lockdown and the fact I have no friends

May 22, 20206 yr Lad I used to work with reckons in the ratings’ mess on naval ships they used to get a melon,, take out the seeds from as small a hole as possible. Get a few tins of brasso and pour it in, put a small nail in the bottom, get a french stick with the ends chopped off and allow the resulting liquid to run though the entire length. the melon was there to add taste and the french stick to take the abrasive stuff out of the brasso. edit - could someone try it and report back?
