Right, a couple of years back, I was 'mis sold' a WiFi mini. Anyway, it's just about to run out and don't want it. Can't cancel it via the EE app nor online.

Rang, went through a GCHQ type system to get to an operative who, probably through no fault of his own, made it basically impossible to cancel it.

Steaming now.

So fuck em, I'm going to transfer my business to another supplier.

Who is the best for value, customer service, coverage etc.

I was on 3 for years and never really had an issue.

Been on o2 for 4 years no issues apart from trying to use 4g in some parts of manc City centre is pointless. You are better switching to 3g.

Vodafone to be honest. Few quid more expensive but good coverage and service is always bang on

EE have always been spot on over the phone on broadband type stuff.

However, I hate the shops, scruffy yoof with no customer service sense. Taking liberties and talking gibberish.

Now dealing over the phone, about my phone contract is mission impossible.

Always had 02 until I jumped on the Mrs EE contract few years ago, no problems spot on

Like a lot of companies, great until you need to cancel something. Cunts.

Quite happy with my sim only deal from Vodafone

£26 a month for unlimited everything and Spotify premium

If I went down this route, where is best to buy a phone?

That's a very good shout.

Phones can easily last another 18 months after a 2 year deal these days. I did nearly 18 months on a 9 quid a month sim until the charging port went.

Don't be paying 50+ sheets for the latest phone when it's fuck all different to any other phone of the last few years.

Phones haven't made a step change in tech year on year for many years so it's pointless paying top whack for newest phone.

Vodafone for me. I've left a couple of times for cheaper deals elsewhere, but they just do t compare and I've always gone back as soon as I could.

I’ve got an immaculate Samsung s8 if anyone is wanting a phone. It’s lived it’s life in a case and not a mark on it.
give me a shout if anyone wants one

I've got that, but for £60 across 3 phones.

No issue with O2. I have the latest iPhone and honestly it’s no different from the 8 which I prefer if I knew I would have kept it

escos s8 above

Or I've got an s7 which I've just swapped to an s10 which I'll keep at least 3 years. Last year will be about 12 a month

Edited by Casino

my GiffGaff PAYG is very good, £12 a month for calls, text and 10g of internet, which is ample i think.

dunno to be honest

got a mate who always seems to be up to speed as to what a decent phone is, he recommended the OnePlus, so I got it (spec wise, it's good value for money in terms of storage)

so I got one of them direct from the manufacturer

had it 2 years and still only used 30% of the storage

it was either that or a Google Pixel

I've always had the "S" range from Samsung and until a few weeks ago had the S9 which was brilliant, this time though I "stepped down" to the A71, which was about half the price - it's still an excellent phone, and I reckon it probably better than the S9 was/is

Oh, he already knows and has expressed his disgust,

He has a nerve though, especially as he has a Sharp television and drives a Chevrolet,

EE/BT have best coverage

02 best customer service

I wouldnt touch 3 with a barge pole

However,  what most in the know do now is buy the handset directly from the manufacturer (Apple do an interest free credit deal with Barclays - and you get Apple TV free for a year,)

And get a short duration sim only contract from whoever has the best deal on at the time - that way you can chop and change as and when new deals come out , as they do every month. The price of data aleways drops, so if you sign into a 24 month deal, you'll be paying over the odds towards the end of the contract)

It's cheaper and more flexible. If you change jobs/move house/schoole etc you arent stuck with a provider that has shit coverage for several months.

best value cases are Spigen

If you want to check your coverage, use this

Just been reading stuff along these lines. Think I'll do this.

In-laws always rave about plus net and it seems they get good reviews too.

Anyway, I'll be going into EE first to kick some arse. Will choose later when I've calmed down.
