He's exactly how he plays. 

I told him you want that defender going to sleep at night thinking of you. Thinking that little cunt didnt leave me alone all bastard day. 

I'm just glad the coaches could see it. Other teams would probably have said maybe step down to the team below for a bit but they've done brilliant. Hid him at full back for a bit, shoved him up when 3 up etc then a little bit more each week to the stage now he's starting up front and it's between him another kid for the no9. The other kids a unit so they use em both to suit.

Equally a lot of other parents, normally dryrobe slags who dont know football, would've been kicking off about lack of game time etc.

I Knew what the plan was and could see his level and knew it'd all come together.

So many knob heads and know it all on both sides. Better to work together for progression.

I've posted before buy my lad moved up 3 divisions to the premier league in area with a division littered with academy kids.

I was really nervous tbf. I just told him tenacity, attitude and application will make up for any tactical lacking he may have. Didn't seem to be happening for a short while, ball watching a lot and bit awestruck in some games. The standard is just ridiculous.

 But all over a sudden it was a like a switch had been pressed. He was back to his old tenacious ways, pressing like fuck and chasing every single ball down. His new nickname is the mosquito

He's bagged 5 in 3 games and been a right fucking pest for defender. Still not quite there technically, would rather lay off than commit to a drive forward but it'll come and coaches have been absolutely brilliant with him and managed his time perfectly.

If she does make the step up and she looks short, trust the coaches. They'll hopefully manage her and get her up to the level required.

Best way; he’ll only learn from playing in than environment. Hate when coaches pull teams down a level cos they’re getting beat- see it through, have patience… it will come

Last month has been shit… my lad has barely trained and he’s telling me stories of pissheadiness I can completely relate to. He’s got an offer in the National League, and I’m like ok… you are only a teenager once and you will rebel against anything… then I get a text message; premier league big gun interested. Put the buzz ball down lad 😂

 

Parents; I have email addresses for every fucking club in the top five divisions! Let me know if your kid might be at that level. Can’t guarantee they’ll respond

Had their parents right behind me in 2nd half. Wasn't a problem as our defence decided to play that deep I only gave 2 offsides all game

Mates just had his u10 at that Toughsheet tournament. 
 

I fuckin hate grassroots tournaments, but this sounds like exactly why. 
 

One of the team he regularly comes up against only had one of their regulars playing (coaches son) and the rest of them are academy lads from some high end small group coaching thing. Another high ability team deliberately threw their last game so they could drop into the “Europa league” and promptly smashed the lower ability groups to “win” a trophy. 
 

At least their were no reports of violence and the bar was closed

F’s coach put them into a tournament in Burnley way last summer. Correctly put them into Medium section (the team could be considered lower end of medium, but has a couple of lads at the higher end, or lower end of high). 
 

Anyway, they naturally had 3 sections. Lower, Medium and High ability. 
 

There were ZERO entries/applications for the high ability group and kids were pitching up in full Burnley and Blackburn gear from their ETC games that morning. Bonkers. 
 

Our lads got walloped 7-1 by a team in a 20 minute game!

Pathetic isn't it. I posted similar in here about Fleetwood towns antics bringing academy players in for the cups. They just won the hogan cup and Lancashire cup. One of the kids at Blackburn academy but for some bizarre reason he's allowed to play in cups and tourneys. The lad would get in Boltons first team he's that good.

It's just pathetic.
