June 16Jun 16 the couple who took my dog send regular pics and videos proper missing him but seeing him with his new brother / best mate is lovely to see
June 16Jun 16 Got back Saturday. Other dog that became lame wasn't improving greatly, so booked him in for yesterday when we got home.Shoulder seemed to be doing OK thankfully. Vet did the usual checking, and raised an eyebrow when I said he'd had ticks whilst on holiday. He took his temp which was a bit high.Overnight, he's thrown up, and was clearly feeling rough.Got him back down this morning, temp even higher, and admitted for fluids, paracetamol and possibly antibiotics- possibility of Lyme's disease, even though they are on symparica. Fucking unbelievable. Hopefully it's just a bug and he'll be right, but a concern nonetheless.
June 21Jun 21 Popular Post This is my old lad , he is on what I reckon will be his last big adventure ( although I've said this before). He is still full of beans but his body is slowing him down and he is not the lad he was. I still love the mad fucker though.

June 21Jun 21 A tail of 2 dogs in our house at the moment, the puppy, an 8 month old Lancashire Heeler won her class at a dog show today and qualified for next years Cruft's, our 12 year old Boston Terrier is deteriorating fast, she has bladder can er and it has now spread into her lungs leaving her virtually unable to breathe, looks like the worst outcome for her the next few days

The heat of the next few days won't help neither.Fortunately my "poorly" one seems to be on the mend. Will be on antibiotics for at least 3 weeks as a precaution if it is Lyme's disease.
June 22Jun 22 Just a month on from losing ours and we're still struggling. Went up over the moors yesterday morning on a route we often took the lad. 2 big, daft chocolate labs came bounding over and wanted fussing. I could see the Mrs choking up as she played with them. We will get another dog or dogs in time but right now, we just want our old pal back. 😢

Well until the barbie went on and then it was like he was on whizz. . Take care
June 25Jun 25 Happy dog there!Just had my third one down the vets for his routine blood tests wrt to epilepsy medication. He gets hugely stressed when they do anything like that and came home virtually merged with me, panting his head off.Reminiscent of "the fly".

July 12Jul 12 How is he doing in the heat?Minimal walks for ours at the moment. Extremely hairy, black dogs aren't exactly great at 30+⁰C.

July 12Jul 12 Why not. My little grandog (mate of my little grandson) A native of Sydney and used to hot weather.
