Found the acupuncture really therapeutic, and his massage was tremendous. Loosened my neck up and I've been able to move better since. Did wonder if he would break the fucker though- he didn't hold back!

October 7, 20205 yr When my disc first went I had acupuncture at David Roberts Physio. Massive sceptic but soon bought into it when I felt the relief. Would happily have it again if I ever needed to
October 7, 20205 yr Fire Service paid for up to ten physio sessions if you’d been off with same back complaint a number of times. I went to a place on The Crescent at Salford. Can’t remember the name. Anyway, he decided to put me on electric shock therapy or something like that. He attached two electrodes which sucked onto my back in the lumber region. He flicked a switch and you could feel the current. He told me that the higher I have it, the better it’ll be for me so I had a bout of manliness and had him keep increasing it. It wasn’t comfortable but we got up to level 10, the highest. Once that was set he switched the cycles on. It was probably the frequency. It started at, say 100 cycles per second and quickly dropped to 50,then 20, then 10 all the way down to one jolt every second. Let me tell you, level 10 at one hit per second was the most uncomfortable I’d ever been. My leg was flailing and kicking fuck out of the treatment table. It was like a puppy having its ribs tickled. Problem is, the physio had fucked off into another room writing a report or something so I had about 10 minutes where every time the cycles were high you just knew that pretty soon the frequency would drop and it’d be back to kicking fuck out of the table. Eventually he popped his head in just as the frequency was dropping and I started flailing. “You should have said” he told me. Cunt!

October 7, 20205 yr Polish bloke I used to work with told me every man or woman should treat themselves to a nuru massage once a year, every year. He did also drink shit from a willow tree for a couple of months a year though. Don't know if he's still alive but there was a bloke in Horwich called Cliff Edge who would have you in absolute tears with a sports massage but it would be wonderful afterwards.

He also sold me, at great expense, two bottles of Chinese medicine that I had to chuck away, and my GP strongly recommended I dont take it whilst on conventional medicines. Two much risk. I would say that majority of customers were chinese, which i think was a positive.

The liquor he sold me was in two re-used 1ltr vodka bottles. No proper sealed top. Looked like mud and tasted worse. All manner of dried foetuses and animal dicks in jars on the wall. Reckon my gp was right. Stick with the acupuncture (with electric pulses going through them).

I’ve got two discs in my neck that have prolapsed due to the vertebrae in my neck collapsing one side. And thus consistently press on the nerves yo varying extents. So I can sympathise with anyone with such an issue with spine issues and nerve pain
