It's that match v Darlington (5/11/86?). What it would have looked like if everyone who claims to have been there, really was.

Now Jim, when I mentioned "rattle" you immediately thought of "rattler" a colloquial name for a train, and suggested Crewe Alexandra, a place inextricably linked to trains. Well it was a good idea but

You're right. The Baseball ground was a shithole. But this picture isn't Derby.

Those steps are strange sending you in one direction, so a stand with not much room behind it .

Only steps I can remember like that were the Riverside at Ewood Park ... Not that I ever trod them ...you could pay for entry in either end and walk into  the Riverside before segregation.

Some scary times going on the service train from Bromley Cross to Blackburn as a teenage r. Scraps all the way from the station to the ground and the train regularly bricked on the return trip

It is Blackburn Riverside stand. Was in there for Worthingtons goal. Can't remember it being like that at the back.

Ah, I've got a sneeky suspicion it pissed it down with snow on this ground in the 80's. Chester City - Sealand Road

Bugger. I've played on it twice. Scored a penalty. They had a bit orange circle on the wall behind the goal. Right in the centre. It was very tempting to aim at it.

Sealand Rd.

Never been there , no wonder I struggled .

I was convinced it was Swindon .
