Old school sweets

Bought some sarsaparilla tablets yesterday. Not had them for years. Proper took me back to when you'd go to the paper shop and get either a 10p mix or a if your Mam was feeling generous a 1/4 of sweets from a jar. Cola cubes where a close 2nd.

Shit I sound old.

Nice Sex Pistols reference?

Not all modern stuff is inferior.

Used to enjoy a quarter of Merrie Maid caramels.

Reisen is as nice, if not nicer.

They now have a plastic internal cover with a tic tac style flap in one corner

Memories of the middle kiosk on Moor Lane back in the early 70's.

Used to get the 61 into town from County Grammar.

Whilst waiting for 15 up to the posh side of town.

Always bought a 1/4 of midget gems or winegums.

Loved em .
