Eight people, including six Asian women, were killed in shootings at three different businesses in Atlanta and Acworth, Georgia, on Tuesday, according to local police. A male suspect was arrested and charged with several counts of murder on Wednesday, police said. At a press conference in Atlanta on Wednesday, authorities identified the four victims killed in Cherokee County.

It doesn't matter whether he's serious or not - he's about to become the most powerful man in the world again. What he's showing is that bullies get their own way.

Like him or loathe him, he has his way of doing things, and it worked when he threatened to pull out of NATO. America being unfair asked to pull far more than its proportional weight, and he changed that relatively quickly. 

No piss arsing about with protracted discussions and negotiations. 

Putin is a genuine bully, and isn't getting his own way, so an egotistical bullshit merchant- being in charge of a huge democracy- isn't going to just get Denmark to simply let him have the place.

He may however, manage to sort out a deal, whereby the US gets some mineral extraction rights or some such. 

Just as China has sorted in Africa.

He is certainly a hardball player though, and plays the way the EU do.

I don't know if he will invade Greenland or not. But I think he's more likely to do so that any other US President in my lifetime. And even threatening to do so undermines the whole western order. 

He's basically using the threat or use of force to try to acquire territory. That's illegal under international law. And it's a threat being made to an ally fellow NATO member. 

What kind of message does that give to someone like Putin in any negotiations on Ukraine. 

It boggles my mind that people are so happy to accept things like this.

I just think it would be a good jumping off point as it's further West. Plus we could justify it by just saying that "we need it for economic security" like the Don has. That's the way it's done nowadays! 😁👍
